“Most fantastic place we have been in over 10 years”

The staff were fantastic, all the Onsens were wonderful.The food was exceptional. the Kitchen staff prepared wonderful food for breakfast and Dinner More than we ever expected. our Japanese friends said it was exceptional when they saw the photographs. this is 100% top dollar.

The food is nice. Location a bit far but is worth it.

A beautiful setting and very traditional ryokan with a number of onsen options including indoors, outdoors and private. It felt very traditional. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Absolutely amazing in every respect. Way way better than we expected. 😅 After onsen hopping in nearby Kurokawa Onsen, we felt that we could just as well have onsen hopped here! We loved to cottage and its facilities, not least the private wooden-tub onsen *and* private rotenburo (outside bath). Dinner and breakfast were plentiful and tasty. The service was stellar. We slept like babies in very comfortable beds. An amazing experience and we can’t wait to stay again.

“Beautiful stay in a traditional ryokan”

We enjoyed our stay. We found Mr Sato very helpful and he arranged for us to have a driver for the day who took us to Mt Asos and Takachiho Gorge. The meals served were wonderful and beautifully presented. Our room had 2 onsens - an inside and outside onsen which we loved. Also the mixed onsen (up on a hill above the property) has a lovely view and was a real treat to sit in, especially as both days when we used it , it was empty but for us so it was very private. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the traditional room. Overall it was a great stay. Thank you Mr Sato for picking us up and dropping us off at the bus station.

“Quiet and serene stay.”

The staff provided good services. Mr Sato and family were very helpful and hospitable. They offer pick up and drop off service from and to bus stops and also offering rides into town 5 km away. They even upgrade our room with private onsens which was very nice.

The onsen is clean, and the view is good, especially the open air onsen at the top of the mountain. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. The room is very comfortable. The meals were fabulous and delicious. Mr Sato, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and humble. He provides free shuttle services to and fro from the bus stop to the ryokan.

The place is just outside the main busy onsen area. It is surrounded by nice forest , rise fields and wild nature. It has 5 spa, also outdoor with beautiful, open till night. With the dark you can see nice sunset and later stars. Food is amazing, made with their products and local products. Stuff os super nice : they picked me up, and show me places with beautiful landscape panorama!
