Overview
Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. It also features a lounge with complimentary coffee and WiFi, a terrace and a garden. Free parking is available. Noshiyu Oyado is an adults-only property. Guests can unwind in a public hot-spring bath, or rent one for private use. Other facilities include a shared lounge, lockers and drinks vending machines. The ryokan serves Japanese seasonal dishes at its dining room, which features an open kitchen. Teahouse Warabe offers self-service coffee. A variety of Japanese shochu liquor, wines and other drinks can be enjoyed at bar Kura. Kurokawa Onsen Oyado Noshiyu is a 5-minute walk from bus stop Kurokawa-Onsen, which offers highway buses to JR Hakata Station, Fukuoka Airport, Kumamoto Station, Aso Station and many more destinations. Rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and a flat-screen TV. Amenities include a refrigerator, a coffee machine and a safe. For such an essential Japanese onsen experience, we wish we were interacting with Japanese people rather than foreign immigrants. Having said that, they were lovely people, but just felt it diluted our experience of authentic japan.

“Amazing lodging, onsen and dinner experience”
awesome onsen and kaseki dinner experience in a kind of fairy tale setting. We were located in a kind of "tree house"with a private onsen down the stairs. this is the real thing in my opinion. the outdoor public and private onsen are amazing. not to be missed if you are touring Kyushu

Lovely tradition onsen hotel , with several onsen to choose from . Indoor and outdoor and private ones . Dinner and breakfast included , traditional Japanese meals with locally sourced ingredients . Quiet atmosphere good English speaking staff . I would recommend this hotel

“Amazing experience!”
The Ryokan is really nice and quiet. A feel good place. The staff is welcoming, kind and helpful. Great Onsen! A lot to choose from: inside, outside and private baths. Comfortable Yukata provided. the room was nice and comfortable. For One night it was fine for four adults. For more nights, it might have been nicer if it was slightly bigger or two rooms would have been better. Amazing dinner and breakfast! Wish we had stayed at least 2 nights. On the list of things to do again.

“Rustic charm with exceptional food”
Of all the places we stayed on our 3 week Japan trip, this was probably the most authentic & charming. Set in beautiful, shaded mossy gardens with a maze of paths - this place is rather magical. Our room was large, a little quirky & rustic with a separate seating area with two big, traditional comfortable armchairs and it had its own mini indoor onsen bath with constant running hot water! The bed was in a mezzanine up some stairs. Clothing is provided for you to wear throughout your stay. In the main building is a tea room with all sorts of retro artefacts where you can help yourself to tea & coffee. In the grounds there are several open air private onsens which are wonderful. The food is a whole other experience! We were served a many course dinner and breakfast in our own private room. Outstanding and so beautifully presented and served - truly memorable. It is worth a walk around the village too - some cute shops and cafes & we enjoyed the winter illuminations after dinner.

“A magical place”
Everything was perfect. The staff was very nice and spoke good english. Cute & rustic onsen baths and they were all nicely kept (both the private onsens and the shared ones). Futons were warm and comfy. Food was extremely fresh & delicious. A truly magical place, especially if you consider the price and everything you're getting.
