To be honest I didn't really find a lot to praise about this venue. I think it is a place where the accommodation has in its own way over exaggerated its position as a luxury venue and of course it is human nature to go there and share in the experience and tell friends. For me I have stayed at more comfortable and exotic places in other countries as more reasonably affordable prices. With proper dietary breakfast.

A lot of varied onsen options. The staff was amazing and lifted the mood with friendly small talks and always took care that we understood and were comfortable. Only 2 or 3 of the onsen options were closed due to technical issues, but it didn't matter because they have many other options with fantastic views of the river or bamboo or the fauna. We were able to fully rest, enjoy colorful and masterfully crafted meal including various seasonal components. We felt refreshed and also got the pass for hotel hopping. Great town, location is not far from it and transportation is available and convenient thanks for the shuttle and wonderful staff.

Located in a picturesque area, away from crowds, yet 10 -15 min walk from some cafes, souvenir shops and a grocery store. The ryokan serves exceptionally delicious breakfasts and dinners.

Onsen is super good in the area . Especially for the public mixed one , you can enjoy the hot spring and the waterfall in front of you

A very good and authentic experience for Japanese onsen. The food was amazing and the hot spring is spot on. Unlike other touristy onsen attractions, kurokawa onsen is much quieter and peaceful.
