The location was set in a quiet and peaceful site away from the busy tourist area but still just a short drive away. The room was spacious, like a summer cottage and the kitchen was well equipped.

The property is only about 3 mins drive from the town centre. The owner was very honest in returning ¥10,000 when I inadvertently overpaid. She ran out after me when she realised. The beds were snuggly comfortable.

Lovely onsen you could book privately. Friendly staff who volunteered to drive us to Kurokawa Onsen (2.5 km away)

The traditional vibes and kitchen appliances. The heating appliances is very powerful, really heat up the house and keep the house warm. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. I enjoyed using the traditional cook stove. Very convenient, near to Kurokawa Onsen and the nearest supermarkets are in Oguni, about 20 mins drive away. Outdoor private bath.

Really spacious and clean

Lovely location and very friendly staff. The cottage was very clean and the outdoor onsen area was beautiful. They have great vending machines on site, when it didn’t spit out our gyoza the owners immediately helped so we could receive our food.

Location, room is comfortable . Need more kitchen utensil and to provide at least coffee/tea

Forest environment and wood feeling in the house...

We loved the bbq, the private onsen and the TV facilities. It was a good location to travel around from. The bath in the cottage was lovely also. The owners were very nice and we enjoyed the surroundings.

Reasonable price near the Kurokawa Mori onsen area Free parking , well equipped kitchen. It’s a cottage to ourselves. Very quiet and cosy. It feels like a cottage chalet where we saw locals rent a BBQ grill and also the private outdoor air bath that needs to be reserved at additional cost before hand. Quiet spacious forest like wooden cottage. Payable private onsen reservation required. Owner friendly. Needs a car to access. Big room enough for 4 persons. Plenty of parking place near our cottage.

It was in the middle of the woods. Very serene and charming. Full kitchen amenities and plenty of sockets for charging. It’s necessary to buy food and beverages before proceeding here because there’s no near and convenient shop around here. This is particularly so for dinner and breakfast. You can enjoy your meal at the porch/balcony and soak in the charm of the vicinity.

The cottage was quite well appointed and had what we needed. Also the cottage has a nice little veranda. We were close to Kurakawa Onsen, which has VERY expensive accommodation, so we were please with this cottage which allowed us to explore the area without breaking the bank.

The house is perfect for large families/groups, is big, clean and comfortable. The hosts are the most amazing human beings. Very helpful and thoughtful. Definitely recommended 💕

The hosts are the best, really helpful and kind, they helped us in 100 of different ways. We really enjoyed our stay with them, the cottage was beautiful, really nice and spacious for our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 teens). The onsen was perfect and we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommended for a wonderful experience in Kyushu.
