“Traditional Japanese run hotel in an excellent location!”

Older style, well maintained hotel with Japanese futon style beds. The location is excellent and the family who run the place are very helpful with anything you may need.

Great location next to the ski lift. Older style but cozy apartment, shared bathrooms and has a small onsen. Can rent snow gear through reception for much cheaper. Friendly staff too. Shuttle van can be arranged for free from the train station to the accommodation.

staff were lovely and very kind people, very easy to access restaurants and ski lift. food at the hotel was delicious too.

Just literally right next to the ski lift, have been to 10+ ski accommodations and this is the only one you can get onto the chair-lift from your room in like just a few mins. A bit old the place but it is spotless, the staffs are friendly and efficient, Japanese quality. Ski Rental is avaliable with good price and the staffs again are brilliant. Hotel New Fukudaya definitely will make me visit Ishiuchi again, and again. Thanks a lot！

1. There's a free massage chair in lobby, very relaxing after a snowboarding day. 2. Offers ski/snowboard/gears/clothing rental service. Easy access, good price and quality. 3. Hot Spring with great temparature. 4. Pickup service from train station is available during snow season. (We asked tourist center to help make the phone call) 5. We stayed for five nights, they would come change towels/trash bin every 2 nights, very sweet. 6. Hotel is close to the central gate of Ishiuchi, which is the main bus stop to reach Echigo-Yuzawa station.

Very convenient for skiing with affordable rentals. The owner and their friends run the business and are very friendly. Although they don’t speak English, they were able to ask and assist with everything we needed. We will definitely come back again! Highly recommended, especially for families with young kids—the skiing area is safe, and there are many restaurants just around the corner.

Both breakfast and dinner need to be pre-booked with the owner; they are delicious. We enjoyed it very much. The location is great for skiing. The room is clean and tidy. We will stay again next time.

Location and shuttle service

The location was excellent. You can literally ski to the door and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, although no one speaks English which made it a little bit challenging. While this is an old property it is incredibly well-maintained and has its own ski rental facility which I suggest strongly people use as it’s much cheaper than most others I found and the equipment is excellent. The restaurant serves traditional Japanese food which is plentiful and tasty . I would gladly stay here again.

Owner and helpers are very friendly. They make me feel at home. Very good and value for money breakfasts and dinners were provided. Highy recommended to stay there again.
