“We had a great stay!”

Even though it was just one room, the higher placement of the bedding was great to somewhat separate the guests. We had a small but private bathroom. The building was close to an onsen. Also if you ask in the reception, they were providing free shuttles to gala yuzawa and echigo yuzawa stations. The first lifts were in 10mins walk. I recommend taking the early morning shuttle to gala yuzawa and renting ski gear in gala yuzawa as there are more options and better facilities compared to Ishiuchi Maruyama ski resort.

“Cozy Stay with Great Ski Access”

- Great location right next to Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort. - The hotel offers convenient shuttle buses to Echigo-Yuzawa Station and other ski resorts (reservation required). - The lobby has a nice seating area and even table tennis, which was a fun surprise. - The staff were very friendly and helpful. - The facilities feel nostalgic but are well maintained. ps. The futons were fantastic, we slept very well! - The room was spacious enough to keep our large suitcases open the entire time. We had a slightly negative experience back in 2024 when staying at ISHIUCHI BASE. Our room was located on the 3rd floor with direct access to the nearby onsen facilities, and guests frequently used and slammed the door, which was quite disruptive. This time, however, we stayed on the 2nd floor, and the experience was completely different. It was much quieter, and the guests were considerate and respectful, we were very relieved. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay, we would happily return.

The rooms had everything you need for a warm and cosy stay. Bonus was having microwave in hall and hot and cold water to use. We are a family of 4 we were able to do washing there too! The onsen next door was amazing for 700 yen! We enjoyed our stay!

The lobby area is nice and has sofas / seating for relaxing and waiting. The staff were good at dropping and picking up from the slopes when needed.

The location is great so close to Ishiuchi 石口 ski resort entrance Like 10 mins walk Close to a spa and they have their own spa too.

The staff at the hotel were exceptional, always trying to help and to find good solutions.

limited shuttle available with fixed schedule driver cannot speak english need to confirm location before boarding, we got on to the wrong station despite reassurance from the staff who urged us to hurry up and catch the bus

The accommodation is very close to Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort - it's a good place to stay if you plan to go skiing. There's a convenient shuttle bus service from the JR station back to the hotel in the evening. The staff can speak Chinese

Front hotel is stairs need carry luggage to first floor then will have lift. Every floor got microwave and water filter. Next building hot bath is very good, second floor got provide voucher to get the cheap price.

Comfy beds and warm bedding. Bathroom was small, but very clean.
