A simple but well equipped cabin conveniently located to visit Mt Aso and its surroundings. Nice view, quiet location in a residential area, and very good value. We appreciated the possibility to cook and wash clothes.

Super cosy with full facilities. Good size for two pax. We ate in almost every other day. Simple kitchenware was provided. The scenery was simply amazing - so peaceful and quiet. Felt like a homestay experience. Great base to explore the Aso region.

Just idyllic. Couldn't hope for a better place to stay. Views of Aso, easy to access by car, cosy and comfortable. We wish we'd stayed longer. Incredible value!

good experience living in local house. simple but fully equipment. breakfast is delicious and with smile serving ;). very cheap too. the location is not easy to find on map until the property owner sent the gps location and it was exactly the house located.

Lovely wooden cottage south of Mount Aso. Really nice atmosphere and run by a very kind host who helped us get to and from the train station. Comes with all the facilities you need including a washing machine. Do make sure you have a car when you go here, we did not have one and it made some travel to the volcano a bit challenging (though taxi / hitchhiking did the trick)

We LOVED our stay here. LOVED! The view is just beautiful and next to the house is a flower garden and vegetable patch. The house is modest but lovely. I wish we had more time there. If you can afford the time I recommend an extra night! We didn't meet the guy who runs it but we met his mum who is so kind, she brought toys and books for our son to play with and gave him delicious home made cakes. Communication was great. They did everything they could to make us as comfortable and welcome as possible. Just wonderful.

Everything was perfect for a week-end in the country side. If you want to have a break from the big cities in your Japan roadtrip Soils is the perfect place. You can go to a real cute market place where everything is from the farms around, such a nice moment. The owners were nice and careful. From our arrival to the departure they were here to take care of us if we needed anything. Thank you very much for your time and kindness.
