Really lovely tradition ryokan! Greeted by the friendly boss and his staff upon arrival. Love the relaxing vibe. It’s so children friendly and our kids love feeding the ducks and fishes at the pond in front of our rooms. Very clean and cosy rooms. The in-room onsen was a big bonus. Very suitable for family staying together. Although location is quite far off, it really pays off with the fantastic view of the mountains and nature. Food was exceptional as well. Very good portion and variety. Stayed for 3 nights and had a really good time! :)

Loved the omakase each night and huge breakfast each morning. We left early one morning for a day trip but the staff packed us a Bento since we missed breakfast. The staff were all incredibly friendly and hospitable.

Private onsen at a great price. This is our first time trying Japanese traditional meal and we loved them! They are extremely polite and take great care of us. Love it!

Charming ryokan in Minami Aso. Staff were very friendly and kind, especially to kids. Beautiful grounds with duck-pond and cats, and areas to sit outside. Room was very comfortable and spacious with modern decor and a lovely private indoor and outdoor onsen. I would highly recommend this place for their excellent service and wonderful facilities.

2 amazing meals a day, breakfast (8 or 830am) and dinner (6 or 630pm). Room was large. Special mention was the outdoor private onsen. Bathroom was nice and large. Staff were very attentive. Private room for meals (as expected).

Pretty environment and place. Staff was extremely attentive. Room was pretty and clean, we loved the bath/onsen. They also made sure our kid had proper meals and had fun.

Very pretty, very tasty. We stayed for two nights it was very relaxing! There were a bigger room available and we were upgraded for free. But the smaller room was also very nice. The views from windows are very nice. Everyone is very nice and welcoming. Private onsen in the rooms is also amazing. Would love to come back. The beds (on the floor) and the pillows were very comfortable.

Warm welcome from staff who came to the car with greetings and to take in luggage. Facilities were great and exactly as advertised. We all really enjoyed our food and drinks. Our little one also loved feeding the ducks and seeing the koi on the grounds. Great views around too.

Wholesome breakfast with a spread of variety of japanese breakfast staples. Wonderful that the menu changes daily unlike buffet spreads.

The staff are very nice and all are good. It’s near to the Aso farm.
