Only a 5-minute walk from JR Kamimoku Train Station, Tatsumikan boasts in 5 indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and meals featuring local dishes. Guests can wear Japanese Yukata robes and use free Wi-Fi at the lobby. A free shuttle is available once a day from JR Jomo Kogen Train Station, which is a 15-minute drive away. Guests who wish to use the shuttle must notify the hotel of their arrival time at time of booking. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A flat-screen TV, a fridge and an electric kettle are included in each, and a heated kotasu table is provided during the winter. The en suite bathroom comes with slippers and a hairdryer. Guests can enjoy playing table tennis or refresh in the sauna rooms. Gifts can be bought at the souvenir shop and luggage storage is provided at the 24-hour front desk. Private reservable hot-spring baths are available as well. Traditional multi-course meals are served for dinner and a Japanese set-menu for breakfast. All meals are served at the dining room. Tatsumikan Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Suwakyo Valley and 15-minute drive from Norn Minamikami Ski Resort. Mount Tanigawadake is a 30-minute drive away.

The hotel was very unique, the hot springs were fantastic, and soaking in the hot springs while enjoying the snow was an unforgettable experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful family trip, thank you for your service!

Japanese room was perfect, service stellar, and food amazing. The staff was extremely kind and did everything to help us, even if English was not always easy for them - would definitely recommend for a super nice and authentic experience. Also very nice onsen!

“The perfect traditional style get-away”
Such a lovely and more traditional experience, the food, the people, sleeping on futon, using the kotatsu and the onsen was so nice. Absolutely loved the stay here. I'm not a big seafood person but I still really enjoyed all of the meals, there was always plenty of delicious things to eat even if there were one or two I was being picky about.

“Great stayover while traveling Japan’s Romantic Road”
The pure Japan experience! This is a location where the majority of the visitors are Japanese, which makes the stay most authentic. The Onsen are beautiful and dinners amazing. But, perhaps most important, the staff is extremely nice and helpful!

The room and facilities were much bigger than I imagined. The bathroom had nice facial products to use, and the futons were very comfortable. A very relaxing authentic stay.

Excellent food, especially the bbq dinner! Service excellent, nice onsen, very good and comfortable traditional Japanese ryokan at a nice river. Highly recommended!
