Ryuudo is set in the midst of nature and features multiple hot spring baths. Located a 40-minute ride from JR Minakami Station and the Okutone Lake, it offers a choice between Japanese or Western rooms. Guest rooms offer both air conditioning and heating facilities. Each room has a fridge, a Yukata (Japanese bathrobe) and a flat-screen TV. Baggage storage is available at the front desk. Fax and photocopying services are available. Ryokan Ryuudo is a 55-minute drive from Tanigawadake Ropeway. Free parking is provided on site.

The “onsen theme park” is amazing. Among the many onsens, one stands out as probably the best I have visited in many years of coming to Japan. Also, food was fantastic.

This Ryokan is fantastic, a truly authentic mountain setting Ryokan with very hospitable staff. The 18 onsens offer a wide variety for every taste. But each will be an invitation to wind down and enjoy the fleeting time and experience. Food was exquisite and sufficient as well. It exceeded my expectations and will carry wonderdul memories.

Everything! The 18 baths are all so good. Especially the outdoor ones. They are open 24/7 so you can enjoy them in the morning sun, evening, night time under the stars..its really amazing. You choose a dragon token for whichever bath you want, hang it outside the door, then lock the door inside. No one can bother you, you get the entire bath to yourself! As a solo traveller, it was so nice to be able to leisurely enjoy the baths at my own pace. Also, the staff were incredible. So accommodating, friendly, and they made the most delicious meals. Breakfast and dinner is served in private rooms and the food was so healthy and delicious. I loved everything about my 2 day stay here and I definitely want to return!
