Overview
Located in the northern area of Okayama, Yunogo Bishunkaku features 8 public indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, a games room and shops. JR Okayama Station can be reached with a 2-hour drive or train ride. Free parking is available. Guests can enjoy a cup of tea at the on-site cafe Hanagokoro or enjoy a traditional Japanese meal prepared with fresh local delicacies of the season. Each room at this ryokan is fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring, and some rooms feature Japanese futon bedding. Air-conditioned rooms come with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle. There is luggage storage space at the property. The public baths can be reserved for private use. You can play table tennis at the ryokan.

The hotel was beautiful and the room we had seemed newly renovated (Semi Suite Double room) and was very comfortable. The onsen was very clean and spacious, and the yukatas were colourful and lovely. We upgraded our meals to the Nagi beef option and it did not disappoint although a little pricey. The breakfast buffet was good with wide selection. Parking was free and the place was not difficult to find. Check in/out was smooth and the Manager at the dining hall was very helpful and friendly explaining various activities we could do in the area. There is a table tennis table and a small diner in the hotel which was convenient. We will certainly return.

“Value for money, peaceful and comfortable stay.”
The open-air bath facing the forest is quiet and peaceful, great place to soak and relax. The king bed is very comfortable, good spread of skincare products in room, free alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in fridge. The garden with autumn foliage great for photos. Kaiseki dinner is amazing! Very good buffet breakfast spread too. Definitely value for money!

“Hidden gem”
I found this hotel as a halfway point between two cities I was visiting by pure chance. And I’m very happy I did. The room was beautiful, with its own open air bath overlooking the trees. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful gardens, on a hilltop overlooking a valley. The dinner was an experience in itself, and the breakfast buffet was of ectremely high quality as well. I was the only non-Japanese but staff were incredibly accommodating, patient and helpful. A highlight of my trip.

The staff was very kind and helped make our stay comfortable. The food was simply incredible, and the hotel's interior and exterior were very authentic and beautiful. Bathroom on the balcony was incredibly relaxing, and it was extremely comfortable to spend time there. And, of course, the hot springs were beyond praise. It was a great place to recover. Free shuttle service from Okayama Station to the hotel and back was very comfortable and fast.

“Private bath hotel in remote area”
Nice room with private bath. You can choose your own yukata. Free shuttle bus from station. Staff is super gentle! Price considered is a good option

“It was such a beautiful place to stay. Our own personal onsen was wonderful. Also had a massage chair in our room.”
