“Great quiet location, great hosts”

Baite Etna Bottino is a rather remote house. It is build by the grandparents of the current owners (brothers) and their parents still come to visit the house for some relaxation. The house is located up upon a mountain, resulting in great views of the coastline and Catania. In just 10 minutes walking you are in Milo, which has all commodities required (bakery, butcher and little super market). There are some good hiking trails in the area and you can rent a bike in Milo. The hosts (Davide and Dario) are wonderful. Davide took us into Milo on the first day for all our groceries and helped us with our return to Catania. We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and the garden/pool.

“Picture perfect stay on Etna slope”

Our stay was middle of August, when it is extremely hot, so we knew, we wanted to be close to Etna as to have possibility of fresher evenings, which was true for this space. The place itself was very good, it was convenient to park the car inside the property grounds, the property itself is a combination of several units using common shared external area/the small pool. The pool water was very fresh in contrast to the heat during the day. We stayed at the top floor apartment, which had an insect net on one of the larger windows, providing an inlet of fresh air on ongoing basis. The place overlooks green area and it is quiet overall. We also managed to find a supermarket open in Zafferana when most of other supermarkets and shops were closed due to national holidays. It is convenient place to explore Etna, but one needs to have a car to fully appreciate the advantages of this location.
