“Just round the corner from the ruins”

The hotel is a short walk from the ruins/temple. Kapila was very accommodating. He had the opportunity to give me a bigger room, due to cancellation, this was appreciated. There was a big effort made for my breakfast, so much choice! He was also happy to explain the ruin site, and even had a hand drawn map to share with me. He even went out of town to get me a beer, as they don't really sell it in Mihintale. Thanks Kapila!

Nice place with good rooms at an unbeatable price. The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the place, he made me feel like at home and even gave me some fresh limes as a gift, besides offering a welcome drink. I really recommend this place.

He took us around Mihintale and showed us the cultural en culinair hotspots. It was a great experience. Best value to money thus far. I would definitely recommend.

Kapila is the most wonderful host. I was warmly welcomed by him with coffee and cookies and enjoyed my afternoon with him as a (clearly experienced) guide. Also, the room was very nice and clean.

Central located hotel.....all tourist activities within a walking distance....many places to explore near by. We went to do some adventures looking for ancient paintings on rocks and ruins....ended up on nice hikes. Did some rock climbing near by also....so central location...suits for all kind off travellers from classic tourist staff to the one seeking for hidden places. Here you can do your own laundry, have access to fridge and filter water. Owner will give you a detailed map of city's main attractions. Delicious food available for your meals.

“Warm and welcoming stay”

We were warmly greeted at the door and our bags were carried to our room. The room was clean, tidy and good value for money. The owner gave us welcome drinks and Sri Lankan snacks and let us know about all the local sights. He also made us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with a huge array of foods. Very attentive and helped us map our forward journey and have us great advice. He even dropped us to the bus stop. It felt like we were at home with everything we needed and felt secure. He also had a water filter we can use, so no need to buy bottled water. Would highly recommend! :)

Very well maintained house in a beutiful garden. Kapilarathna is a wonderful host who offers professional services and was very helpful in arranging transportation for us. He also knows a lot about the area. His wife is a great cook - the breakfasts and dinners were lovely.
