“Quiet stay in a beautiful setting”

The building and interior was so beautiful. The hotel was very quiet. The restaurant had just opened, so we had pizza and a drink, which were both delicious and very good value for money. We were the only people there. The gentleman who served us was friendly and attentive.

We spent one night at the hotel. . We really liked it. It is a very beautiful and atmospheric place with a lovely, well-kept garden,and very comfortable beds.

On my journey on the Camino del Norte, I deviated a little from the standard route, and decided to spend a few days in the town of Cudon, in the aforementioned rural hotel Posada la Victoria. The facility itself surprised me extremely positively, from the traditional appearance of the building itself, the beautiful garden, and the extremely cozy interior, spacious and beautifully decorated, very comfortable rooms. Posada la Victoria is located in a very nice, small rural environment, ideal for escaping the city's urban routine. The facility offers a beautiful view of nature, marshes and the Saja River, and the place itself is extremely nice, especially the very kind residents and their pets, especially dogs. The location is exceptional for walking to the nearby fascinating beaches, such as Playa de los Caballos and Playa de Marzan, and enjoying the fascinating huge ocean waves of the Bay of Biscay. A visit to the nearby natural sand dunes and marshes in the Cuchia area is also a must. La Posada is located not far from the Mar train station, making it convenient for day trips by train, either to the city of Santander or in the opposite direction, to the more natural surroundings of Cabezon de la Sal (Monumento Natural de las Secuoyas del Monte Cabezón). Finally, a special mention must be made of the very friendly owners and staff at La Posada, who live for the hotel and do their utmost to ensure that you have the most pleasant stay. All praise!

“Don’t stay in the dark back rooms”

My room was at the back of the property and had only a small window at height. I guess it was priced clear than the nice rooms at the front. When I asked they were booked out. Also I wasn’t offered breakfast when I checked in, it seemed like some people were having breakfast. I don’t know.

We arrived a little early on our Camino Walk and were able to cool down in the open areas of the hotel before heading to our rooms. Very pleasant staff and we were made to feel very welcome. Our Room was nice and located at the back of the motel which is in a quiet location. Best bit was the offer of Pizza for dinner as the dining options in the village area very limited. Breakfast was perfect and served in the terrace room.

The hotel was beautiful. The hosts were excellent and went over and above to be helpful. This hotel is in a beautiful quiet area ideal for a retreat or some down time. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Initially actually finding it was tricky as no specific satnav details available. It advertised a restaurant, always a must but upon arrival we discovered the only option for an evening meal was a 15 minute walk each way to local restaurant or a pizza made on site, not the on site facilities we thought we had booked sadly. Several local dogs take it in turns to bark at anything that moves but nothing to do with the hotel. The premise are beautiful and very well maintained with a courtyard to sit in and hav a drink with wonderful views over the estuary.

Excellent posada. The host was very friendly and allowed me to check in early and gave me a free update. Recommended places to go for a nice walk. The room was excellent, very clean and very comfortable beds and pillows. Highly recommended.

Location was very peaceful and relaxing , perfect after a long drive and within easy drive of Santander ferry port. Less than 30 minutes. On arriving in the square just above the hotel we found the parking difficult since our car is long and wide but we then discovered that you can descend from here to a generous parking area directly in front of the entrance with spacious spaces. The bedroom was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Lovely bathroom with excellent water pressure. There was a large conservatory so an evening drink or breakfast could be enjoyed with exterior views. Breakfast food very good. Wide choice. Lovely staff.
