“Good value homestay on a quiet street, close to everything”
Good location, very close to the beach, restaurants and surf shops. Quiet side street. The room was fine, similar to other guesthouses in the area. It was clean and the AC worked. The bathroom had a good shower and everything worked. Sheets and towel were clean. There is a nice communal area on the ground floor with an outdoor shower and surfboard storage.

Nice room with an amazing shower! It comes with a balcony, space outside to do yoga, and use of a shared kitchen. Nice and quiet area, only a few minutes away from the beach. Can definitely recommend!

“The perfect stay!”
Had such a beautiful week staying here. The room is so spacious with a beautiful balcony and shared kitchen. It was nice to meet people while also having my own space. In the perfect midigama location close to the beach and restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here :)

“By far the best accommodation in Midigama”
I ve changed many houses in Sri Lanka and Vogel Nest is by far the best accommodation. The location is excellent especially if u dont have a moto, you can walk to the beach or other places in Midigama easily. The wifi was great and i could work remotely for a few hours. There was a kitchen and a fridge and a nice balcony with a big table and plugs. The room and the facilities were clean. And the family was always welcoming and ready to help with everything you need. Thank you Sheha and family for making me feel like home!

“Peaceful & Comfortable stay with the kindest hosts in the center of Midigama”
I had a great stay at Vogel Nest. The place was recommended to me by a friend, who stayed here 2 years ago and he did not exaggerate. Shea and her family are great hosts and incredibly kind people. I fell ill during my stay and they checked in on me and even offered to prepare me a meal commonly eaten in Sri Lanka to get your energy back. The rooms are very comfortable and the cleanest rooms I have found in Sri Lanka so far. Due to me booking last minute, I got to stay in 4 different rooms and they were all comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished with a clothing rack and work desk. There is a small kitchen with fridge and basic kitchenware for guests to use, which is really nice for preparing pre surf snacks or coffee. The location is great, as it is walking distance to several restaurants, cafes and the beach, but still in a quiet side street.

We had a lovely stay at Vogelnest! The owners and their family were so friendly and welcoming.The room was spacious, clean and comforable. There is a nice common room and a kitchen everybody can use. The location is very quiet, but still close to the beach/main street with just a 5 min walk. Also has space to stash surfboards. We would definetly visit again!

“Super nice staff and great location”
Shea and all her family were so nice! They prepared a wonderful breakfast for New Year’s Eve. We had a great time, the beach is a few minutes walk and you can visit Weligama and Ahangama or do day trips to Galle or Mirissa.

“Everything you want in a Homestay”
Beautiful and cozy place, spacious bathroom, everything was clean and and in a good condition. The hosts were very attentive and caring. We came home one evening with pizza and they brought us plates and cutlery. Great location, close to the beach and restaurants but very calm and quiet. Would come again 100%

“Would always come back.”
Booked for 1 night, ended up staying 3 night. Lovely place with a lovely owner. The A/C rooms are simple but really do their job. The bathroom is clean and new and the bedroom equipped with A/C is comfortable and cool. Nice area around small restaurants and cafees at really good prices. 5 min walk to the Beach, the train and bus stop. Amazing

“Tranquil retreat”
Host family were so lovely and welcoming and always checking in (but not too much) , and helped organise our onwards journey and anything we needed in the stay. I also had a surf lesson with Suresh two days in a row which was fab! The location is excellent, away from the noise of the road, it's lovely and quiet but still only a 5 min walk to the beach and 2 mins to cafes. The ac worked very well and also the room stays cool even after you turn it off. Hot water was great too. We stayed 10 days in total and extended our stay! Would reccommend.
