Smaller nice resort on the Pengwe Beach, opposite famous restaurant "The Rock". Good breakfast served on your balcony. WELAN okay. You can book any kind of trips and excursions.Very friendly and helpful staff, especially lovely Salma.

“Natural, quiet and truly authentic”

We stayed in this small hotel in Zanzibar and really loved it. It feels very local, natural and simple, but in the best way — cozy and real. The view to The Rock Restaurant is beautiful and around are many small boutique places and cafés. From here you can take a small boat to see the starfishes or go to Blue Lagoon. We saw dolphins in the sea very close to the shore! You can also walk to nearby cafes and small hotels. Having a car is recommended. The beach here is quiet: no sellers, no dancers and no people offering services. Nothing disturbs your rest. The owner is a warm and kind person that you feel like home. This is the real Zanzibar not like chain hotels. The place has its own vibe and soul. It is definitely not for people who want very luxury hotels with shiny things because everything here is very natural and simple. It is for those who want to feel the real local life. We already know that will want to come back.

“Amazing location and very comfortable”

Location is excellent

We had a booking for an evening meal at the Rock restaurant (a stone throw from Shanuo) so we booked one night here for convenience. We were so impressed we ended up returning for a further two nights at the end of our trip.. Gillian and her team were incredibly helpful and accommodating, giving lots of super tips about places to visit on the Island. If you are looking for a no frills authentic economic accommodation right on the beach with abundant restaurants within a few minutes stroll this is a sure winner. The beds were super comfortable especially the pillows and a real treat to have breakfast brought to your balcony every morning. We will definitely recommend this to others.

The breakfast on the balcony was lovely and added a special touch to the experience. The place really had everything we needed, and everyone that works there is really friendly and helpful.

Nice rooms in a stunning location. Staff very helpful. Bed very comfortable, with good shower. Good price and free water throughout the stay.

I can highly recommend to stay here! It is such a quiet little oasis and perfect to relax and enjoy the beach. Coming from crowded Paje before and being overwhelmed by all the people talking to you, I was so happy that I found this accomodation where I could finally relax, calm down and just read a book in their hammock directly at the beach. The whole staff team is very friendly and the manager is such a nice person, helping you with everything. They would also organize tours for you, like a Dhow or snorkeling tour. There is no restaurant at the Bungalows, but this is absolutely no problem since there are many very good restaurants nearby in a walking distance of 5 min, where you can also relax at the pool after lunch. Breakfast is served at the terrace, which is beautiful when you book the bungalow with a balcony, you have a stunning view to the ocean. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing and had almost a family-vibe. If I am coming back to Zanzibar, I would defenitely stay here again!

The staffs are friendly, the location is quiet and the beach is beautiful. The Rock restaurant is front of the beach. The room is nice deco and the chairs and washroom table are design,All the things of the hotel are very multi culture and special design. The bed is comfort and the view is wonderful.

Everything the staff and the management where do atentative. I was also given a room after check out to be able to shower and change. And right on the best beach on zanzibar

“Stunning view of The Rock restaurant”

It has a stunning view of the Rock restaurant. The breakfast was plenty and served on our porch. The staff is very friendly and nice. I loved it that they try to be environmentally conscious, and you get your own glass water bottle that you can fill up anytime. There is no restaurant on site, but there is plenty to choose from at walking distance.
