“Absolutely horrendous service!!!!!”

We booked on booking.com and it was confirmed. We drove for 15hours and got to the gate. I saw a message had come through but the signal wasn’t good enough to download and translate it. The message said the road was damaged in a storm and they closed the hotel. We were at the gate!! Why didn’t they block the bookings on this platform?

Very quiet and peaceful away from any hustle and bustle. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel manager was very helpful sorting out our trip to see a waterfall. Just be aware they don't accept credit card payment and the nearest cash machine is 45 minutes from the hotel along a dirt road. They do however accept taptap send payment

How everything was arranged, the atmosphere and very good personnel who tried to predict your next move

The hotel was located way too far from the city. It’s about 7km off road and it’s an hour from the city. We arrived in the dark and they seemed confused about our presence. We got a 4 person room instead of a 2 person room which makes me believe they forgot about us. The whole property seems a bit old and the room wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t clean as well. The ceiling of our room was made in some braided soft material and the whole night we could hear something crawl. And lastly our bedsheets had stains.

Location is 20 km away from so-called city centre and PLUS further 5 km dirt road with no signboards to help direction. Pitch dark when we arrived around 8 pm…we used our cellphone light to pass through sand paths to reach room. Room door was in a shamble. We locked the door but with slightest pull from outside it got wide opened. Electric switches were randomly fitted..mostly not working. Wi-Fi only available at dinning room lounge but it closes at 8.30…so no Wi-Fi in room. Kitchen services were very very poor…SO WE DEVIDED TO GIVE UP ON OUR 23rd date reservation. And luckily we are now today on 23rd staying at a better place in the city. Booking.com should at least advise the correct informations to clients…very depressed to say this but what will be your feeling to reach your hotel at night time after 12 hours rough road ride. No hot water or cattle etc were available at room. If Booking.com offer me a bonus stay with added price money I will refuse to stay in this place..

“Try somewhere else in Miandrivazo”

First of all: this hotel is NOT in Miandrivazo, but one hour away in the direction Morondava. You MUST have a 4WD vehicle as the last 30 minutes off the main road is in terrible condition. The rooms are quite expensive and the dinner is nothing to remember, also very expensive! The staff was friendly, but unexperienced. The pool looked tempting at first glance, but at second we found swimming creatures 2-3 cm big (amphibia in some early development stage?). This pool definitely needs better maintenance. The place is NOT recommended, there are several other in Miandrivazo, allthough could be difficult to book ahead.
