“A home in the desert”

It’s a beautiful traditional house decorated either lots of care and attention, here I felt like home. It’s in a quiet part of town right on the edge of the desert, with beautiful sunsets from the rooftop. Yahya and Mohamed make sure that you feel welcomed and comfortable during the stay. The room was clean and cozy, just what the traveler needs.

“Excellent place to stay”

The staff (3 brothers) are kind and helpful. They were very hospitable and always made sure you're okay. It's quiet, good value for money and very comfortable. I stayed here on two occasions. The communal areas are clean and comfortable.

Yaya and her lady were super nice. Yaya helpes us with logistic problems before we came, he has good contacts around and good chaffeurs. The place and The Sahara tour was amazing, highly recommend using Yayas accomodation and services. Will come again!

I enjoyed my stay here, the bed was so comfy and I had a shower and a toilet. During my stay there I had breakfast in the patio and it was delicious a good way to start the day! Yahya and Tania were very helpful and I ended up booking a night in Erg Chigaga with them, we had a highly skilled guide and it was an awesome experience! Anyhow I wanted to stay 5 days and I ended up staying a week and a half:)

I liked everything. People are very nice and I get many amazing cups of tea :) I was a little worried about location but is very good - maybe 12min from ctm bus stop. I arrived late thats why I wasn't sure if I'm not gonna be afraid to walk here but it was easy and safe walk. Thank you very much for having me!!

I loved my stay in Dar Yaya. Everything was clean, cozy, and the matress so comfortable, the owners are very friendly and helpful as well. Location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the desert. I’ll come back in my next trip to Morocco.

“Always wonderful”

There is no place more relaxing and homy to me than Dar Yayas :) The rooms and courtyard are wonderful, tea, Tajine, breakfast are perfect. I'm repeating myself, I wrote another review for a different stay here, but I simply like to come back to Dar Yaya!

We were welcomed so warmly, with tea and snacks, were able to just arrive and relax. I really, really recommend coming here. I love everything about staying at Yaya's Guesthouse. The rooms, the courtyard, the living area and kitchen, all the wonderful carpets and decorations - just the general feeling one gets, of being at home. Yaya and his family and friends are the most wonderful hosts, I always choose to come back and then regret not having spent more time there. Also: there is no better breakfast in Morocco, because Yaya's omelette has not yet found its match and the bread from M'Hamids bakery is perfection. Just come and see for yourself!

Polite, helpful and friendly host. The place is amazing, rooted in Berber culture. I was traveling alone. While I was hiking through the desert for four days, they stored my belongings that I didn't need on the trail. Thanks!

“Great place to stay and relax”

It was a good place to stay in Mhamid even for a few nights. The room was pretty spacious and had a shower, and a toilet. On one night it didn't have a strong water pressure but I figured it was because of the water in the desert - there is not much of it. The sheets and pillows were clean. I had ordered breakfast and had forgotten to mention that I didn't eat dairy. The owner prepared some eggs for me, it was lovely. The stars at night were amazing since the Rad is located a bit far from the town's light pollution.

“Unforgettable Desert experience”

I have recently stayed at Dar Yaya in Mhamid El Ghizlane. The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and had everything I needed for a great stay. Yaya was a fantastic host, and he arranged a 4x4 tour to the desert for us. The tour was amazing and allowed me to experience the beauty of the desert in a unique way. I also did some camel riding, and it was a memorable experience. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Yaya house and go in a tour to the desert with Yaya because he knows a lot about the desert and the life of the nomads

Very good value for money great breakfast, easy to find when u come to the roundabout follow the road through the centre and keep going for about straight for 1.5km and u will come to a very large white sign follow arrow to the riad

“Choose Dar Yaya”

Yaya is an incredible host. He was very welcoming and always has the kettle on for tea. He went above and beyond for us. He accommodated our change of booking arrangement. He provided great advice and information. He even got up at 5.30am, prepared breakfast and dropped us to the bus station whenwewereleaving. The Riad is so chilled out. We had freedom to come and go and the use of the kitchen, living room and terrace. The riad is decorated beautifully inside and on the terrace. It is very clean and comfortable and situated in a really quiet village which is literally at the gates of the desert. The WiFi is excellent. Yaya is very flexible with everything and a very hospitable, welcoming and overall good man. He is also very helpful in arranging trips to the desert by 4x4 and touring. We would love to return in the future.

“Relaxing economical and authentic”

In town for facilities . Good for a real experience of local life and going into sahara too. Cozy accommodation with garden area and indoors area too Can use kitchen. Friendly staff. Town is mostly quiet great value with free lift from coach

We had a very warm welcome to Yahya’s place. Nice atmosphere, authentic Moroccan house. Rooms, breakfast, showers (nice temperature) were all good! Also, we did a desert 2day/1night tour with Yahya as a guide. He knows a lot about the desert and brings you to nice places! The sleeping accommodation in the desert was idyllic and comfortable. Would recommend!

Quiet, good food and the owner is good company. Rooms are basic but value for the price. Yahya organises trips and experiences, they are fairly prices and no surprise shopping stops. My guide went out of his way to ensure I enjoyed my day in the Sahara
