“Great stay!”

We have spent a day by Daoud, an exceptionally friendly and welcoming host. The location in a traditional dar with a beautiful view on dates palm trees is excellent for a trip to M'Hamid and Erg Chigaga. And the beautiful nearest dunes are only a short walk away. Daoud organised for us an excursion to a desert camp with a crazy ride there with Yusuf, the best desert driver and music expert. We enjoyed every moment of our stay by Daoud.

Beautiful setting right next to the dunes, very welcoming and friendly family, best hospitality. Daoud arrange a 1-night stay for our family in the camp, we left with camels, for our kids and altogether memorable experiences. They cook delicious food.

Such an amazing, caring host and lovely place to stay. It’s a unique feeling to be there, many cozy chill spots on the grounds. As three young woman we felt very save being there as well. In the evening we had a nice bonfire , good conversations and a lot of tea. In the morning we had great breakfast. Would def go there again ! Thank you for this experience. 🌞

“Comfortable stay!”

Room was as advertised - very clean, neat and well decorated. Beds were comfortable. Very friendly family hosted us, cooked delicious tajine. Rooftop was spacious and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Sidi, soo comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The chillout places and environment was super beautiful. Davod and his lovely family was also very friendly and soo nice to get to know, we felt at home and would love to stay there again. Everything was perfect really. Thank you!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place, that's the one. Nice atmosphere, very helpful owner. If you want a desert tour just ask as it can be arranged according to your needs. The actual place is about 4 min drive from Mhamid so if you don't want to drive just for a dinner ask the owner as he can prepare that for you.

“Best food in Morocco!!”

Great stay, comfortable rooms, nothing fancy but perfect for the stay in M’hamid. The food was absolutely delicious, creative and wished we could have eaten everyday, best food of Morocco! would definitely come back and thanks for everything!!

Amazing place, amazing hosts! My kids loved it. You are only 5 min walk to feel completely lost in sand dunes. The place is authentic and very peaceful.

“A relaxed escape with authentic charm”

From the food to the hospitality; it was a fantastic experience. Both Daoude and Nancy provided excellent conversation and I learned vast amounts about the local way of life. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed throughout. Daoude and his children even accompanied me into Mhamid and showed me where the road stopped and the sand began, and he gave me a quick tour of the town. He was always happy to help. He also offered to organise a tour for me - this was done without any pressure at all, which was a welcome relief from many experiences on my trip. Thanks to Daoude I spent two nights in the desert trekking with a camel, a private guide, and sleeping under the stars next to a campfire. A fantastic and authentic experience that must be done. The bed was very comfortable and the food was the best I’d experienced on my trip so far. I would absolutely return here for a break. The husky and ginger cat were also wonderful additions. Dar Sidi Bounou is perfect for families and solo travellers alike and they seem to get a healthy flow of both. I will miss being here and hope to return in the future.

“Perfect desert oasis”

Daoud and Nancy make this little oasis in the desert a magical place. Quiet and comfortable with really good food, the facilities here are excellent. Go for a walk in the dunes in the back by yourself or continue your journey with an excursion, or explore the places of interest near Ouled Driss, Dar Sidi Bounou is the perfect place to stay.

A heartfelt thank you to Daoud and his wife for the truly memorable stay! This place feels like home, with a cozy family atmosphere. It's simple in the best way, nothing overly fancy, but it has everything you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of Mhamid. From the camp, it's just a short walk to some beautiful nearby dunes, which made for such a fun and unique experience! And the food, wow. Without a doubt, the best we've had in Morocco! Every meal was a surprise, with creative, flavorful, and varied dishes that we couldn’t get enough of. Daoud also organizes treks into the Sahara, and if you’re looking for an authentic adventure paired with interesting conversations, this is the place to be. Our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco, and we can’t recommend it enough. Wishing you all the best for the future, and we hope to see you again someday! Best food we've had during our two weeks in Morocco! Very reasonably priced as well. Perfect stop before/after going into the dunes.

Very nice cottage by a small part of desert. toilet is outside but clean and very much ok. We didn't have dinner there but the breakfast was very good and people very friendly. Also quality/price relation very good! I recommend it!
