This air-conditioned guest house of authentic Berber architecture is situated at the edge of the Bouneau Oasis in the desert. It offers a pool with mineral water and meditation classes. Each room is of a traditional Berber design and includes a terrace or a patio. some have a private garden or a garden view. A continental breakfast is prepared every morning at Dar Paru. Local specialities and vegetarian dishes are served in the air-conditioned lounge or on the terrace. Guests can visit the vegetable garden or visit the ancient kasbahs. The guest house also organises caravan desert excursions. Dar Paru is located in between the Draa River and the N9 road ending in M´Hamid, 7 km away. It is 71 km from Tamegroute, famous for its green pottery.

“Relaxing and amazing oasis in the dessert”
We stayed in this little oasis before we headed into the dessert for our booked tour. It is an amazing and lovely place. The owner and the staff were incredible. The food was so delicious and came fresh out of their garden. We really enjoyed the beautiful dessert dune walk, right out of the back door. The place itself was very peaceful and beautiful. We wished we could have stayed there a little longer.

Beautiful hotel, garden and rooms. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and our family felt very well looked after. Excellent food and wonderful pool to cool down in. A special and authentic place to stay on the edge of the desert.

“wonderful stay in a beautiful oasis of tranquility in the desert”
my stay at the property was beyond my expectations. the place is a magical oasis in the desert created with love by Paru and her team. the gardens are lovely and maintained well with fresh vegetables fruit trees and even a natural swimming pool. all is in tune with nature as far as possible. there are magnificent views across the desert and shaded spots all around the gardens to sit and relax. my room was cool and well appointed with a comfortable with a terrace outside. the whole building is very beautifully maintained. the food is plentiful healthy and fresh- very tasty and Paru has even trained her team to make black ( English) tea and fresh yogurt. breakfast is particularly delicious. Paru is a wonderful host - very attentive and helpful but not intrusive and I had some very interesting discussions with her- she is very generous with her time and nothing is too much trouble. Her team are also lovely and very helpful. I cam highly recommend this wonderful place and hope I will be able to return one day.

“A place to just be. Book it, you won't regret it!”
This was probably the most unexpected experience of all the accommodations and hotels we stayed in in Morocco. A small hideaway run by an admirable lady and her staff. Dinner was freshly cooked, nothing pre-made or reheated. We will definitely be back! Our advice: Book it, you won't regret it.

Perfect stay, could not have been happier in mhamid at Dar Paru. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful decor and atmosphere. Great and comfortable beds and warm showers. The staff here make coming to mhamid and the Sahara Desert very easy, beautiful and exciting. The food is the best we have had in Morocco. Incredibly cheap for the experience, support and quality you receive. We will be back!
