If you are planning a trip to Erg Chegaga and want absolute peace of mind - this is the place to stay. We are traveling around Morocco by car and had a stressful situation in Zagora: at 21:00 our hotel suddenly informed us they were fully booked for the following nights. We needed to go to the desert the next morning and didn’t know what to do. I opened Booking, started searching, and found this place. In one of the reviews someone mentioned that the owner had organized a private 4x4 trip to Chegaga for 95 € per person. That gave me confidence. I booked immediately and contacted Mohsin on WhatsApp. From the first message, he was calm, clear, and reassuring. Everything was explained properly, no pressure, no confusion - just honest communication. The next morning we left Zagora at 8:00, arrived in Mhamid around 10:30, left our car safely in the courtyard, changed clothes, and headed straight to the desert. The excursion was simply unforgettable. The vast dunes of Chegaga are something you cannot describe in photos. The silence, the wind, the golden sand at sunset - it feels unreal. Everything was exactly as agreed. No surprises, no hidden costs, no “alternative dunes”. Just professionalism and kindness. What makes this place special is not only the organization - it’s the people. Mohsin and his brother are genuinely warm, welcoming, and proud of what they do. You don’t feel like a customer. You feel like a guest. The accommodation is very fairly priced, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent - exactly what we needed before a long day in the desert. And the best part: the sand already surrounds the property. You wake up and you are already in the atmosphere of the Sahara. Travel is about moments, not just locations. Staying here was one of those moments we will truly remember. Highly recommended.

“Incredible stay in a beautiful camp with 5 star hospitality”

Beautiful camp area with mini dunes beside us. The room was perfect. There was one staff member called Mohammed who was incredible, he did everything to cater to our needs and cooked the most amazing meals, the best we had in Morocco. The owner was in contact over the phone and helped us arrange our trip to the Sahara dessert. Overall a great stay would recommend highly 👍

“M'hamid...the door of the desert”

If you're looking for a genuine connection with nature and the desert, this is the perfect place. Some comforts are intentionally limited — no hot water, no air conditioning, and no hairdryers — all in an effort to reduce environmental impact. Sand may find its way indoors, but that’s part of the experience. Mohsin is a wonderful host: attentive, welcoming, and always seeking for feedback. During our stay, he cooked delicious meals with great care, using only fresh and genuine ingredients. He also organized a desert tour for us with a driver named Defì, with whom we spent a truly enchanting day.

Moshin (the owner) is a charming host, takes great care of his guests and has build a comfortable little camp on the outskirts of town. Nice place, quite and some sand dunes next to the camp. Moshin even flashes a snowboard for those who want to try!

“Beautiful desert retreat”

Beautiful place right next to dunes, very peaceful. Rooms with beautiful view. Akram looked after us really well. The food he cooked was really tasty, we had chicken and lemon tagine, one of the best we had in Marocco. He organized an overnight trip for us to the desert camp next to Erg Chigaga, he drove us there and made the whole trip really easy and enjoyable. Thank you Akram for a wonderful time.

Location, staff & food excellent. Is a fixed camp rather than a hotel so be prepared/ happy with that fact!

The property is very nicely decorated; it is conveniently close to the city to be reached easily by car while far enough to feel completely disconnected and calm; the food was very good; the landscape was beautiful; the shower was good with hot water; the property offered an ideal day trip to the dessert; the service was exceptional! MaSoud did an exceptional effort to ensure a good stay.

Best location you can find when you go to the dessert. Sanddunes directly on the campsite. Dining under the stars. Mohsin is a great host.

Very tranquil place. The accommodation has so many small details one can really feel that this is a special place. Sunset from the dunes as well as the amazing and delicious dinner and breakfast made this stay unforgettable. Mohsin is such a courteous host an even arranged a spontaneous trip to the desert. “We felt very comfortable safe and at home here!”

We loved the property. There are dunes directly behind where you stay so you can walk there barefoot to watch the sunrise. Mohsin, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming. Delicious food. Quiet and peaceful space. Comfortable beds and a clean room :)

This has been the most amazing listing i've ever visited. It is located right between the sanddunes and palmtrees, which was a stunningly beautiful sight. Mohsin was an great host who showed a lot of care. I can highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience the Sahara desert in luxury.
