When I arrived at the camp, it was very quiet and peaceful. The place is beautiful in its simplicity. My room had beautiful colors and a comfortable bed. Lying in the hammock, you can spot birds perching on the trees and buildings. You can take a short walk through the dunes. Mbarak and his crew—Bashir, Omar, and Saeed—take great care of their guests. The food was delicious! I had the best chicken tajine I've had in Morocco. I also really enjoyed the pancakes for breakfast. I forgot to ask who cooked (merci chef!). I was traveling alone on foot, so the ride to the camp was very helpful, as was the help with transferring to a taxi for my onward journey (thanks, Habib!). The camp is near the charming little town of Mhamid el Ghizlane (accessible by bus). You can spend a few nights at the camp, relax, and gaze at the sky. The bonfire and communal singing are the center of this place and Berber culture.

“The best host!”

Awesome dunes by the camp, comfortable huts, toilet, shower, electricity, everything you need. Clean bedsheets. Shaded spots to enjoy the desert during the day, hammock. You can go ride a sandboard. The best host, very helpful, attentive, polite and good communication! The host came to pick me up from the town and we had a great ride to the camp!

Our stay was incredible! The personel was amazing. They helped us, when our car got stuck in the sand and drove us to the camp. Very helpful and, most importantly, honest.

“A warm-hearted and stunning place to experience the Saharan desert”

This was a perfect place to get a feel of the beauty of the Saharan desert. The camp is fantastically situated between dunes. M'Bark and his team will take excellent care of you. This is not a fancy place, but it provides so much warmth, great food, even WIFI and a place to charge your devices. The value for money is spectacular. We stayed for two nights (and you really should not do less), but would have stayed longer had out travel plans permitted.

Very nice hosts that really cared for everyone and made sure everyone has a good time. Highly recommend if you want to experience an authentic feeling night in the desert.

“Perfect Berber Hospitality!”

The camp is located in an isolated spot away from the other camps. Far enough that I heard no outside noise at all in the 24 hours I was there. The staff are absolutely amazing. They made me feel so welcome. The accommodation was really comfortable. Toilet facilities were fine. Dinner was excellent. And we were treated to some traditional Berber music at a campfire afterwards. If you want to go by yourself into the wild dunes which start right next to the camp, it is quite safe as there are two distinctive high dunes covered in trees that are always visible to keep you oriented, if you keep reasonably close to the camp. I saw no evidence of any vehicle tracks once the dunes get started, so you will literally have the whole desert to yourself in pristine condition. It really is a stunning location!

The camp is situated in a great location next to beautiful dunes. The staff was very nice and so kind to pick up and drop us off at M'hamid. We definitely recommend it..

The camp is located perfectly fine in some dunes with stunning views. We were lucky enough to be the only guests for the night so we had the campsite to ourselves. The dinner was absolutely fine and we were offered to have a campfire if we'd wanted. What we enjoyed most was the quietness and the stars during the night. No dune-bashers or cars (thank god!). The host is as friendly as you can imagine and organized a camel ride back to the parking area for the following day with a local guy which we also enjoyed a lot. Also communication was easy and pick could be organized smoothly. Definitely 10/10.

Outstanding! Mubarak and his crew really know how to make a day in the dessert special :) Communication in terms of arranging the trip with the host was super fast, clear and forthcoming!

If you want to feel the atmosphere of the desert and the nomad camp Mubarak place is the right one. The camp is located approximately 8 km from the Mhamid ~ 20 min driving using 4x4 car and if you want Mubarak will take you there from the village. There are already dunes near the camp, but you can also take  60knlm 4x4 car guide  tour with reasonable prices to the highest dunes in Morocco, erg Chigaga. There is also a possibility to spend a night in the 2nd camp, run by Mubarak, close to the highest dunes.  The host is very helpful and he can arrange things for you. The camp is clean and the bathroom has hot water. You can also have local dinner in the evening.  The most memorable thing was sitting around the fire, accompanied by Nomad songs. 2 days of staying there is clearly not enough.

Everything was excellent during our stay. Mbark is a fantastic host and he is very helpful. He picked us up from Mhamid and drove back. You can enjoy surrounding dunes on your own or just relax in the camp or have some organized tour. The whole staff is very helpful and the food is delicious. Keep in mind that it is a camp on a desert, not a luxury hotel but you get here much more than in the best hotels - the entire desert experience and amazing natural beauty around

Definitely the highlight of my Morocco trip!

We spend here amazingly great weekend, surrounded by tranquility, hospitality and joy of simple life. It was great experience to feel how bérbere nomads live their everyday in Sahara desert. We enjoyed walking among the quiet dunes, admiring the stoning sunsets, tasting vegies from desert garden and music evenings in circle of warm fire. Chokrain = thank you and we definitely would be back again❣️

Mbark is very friendly and a good host. Camp is beatiful and few minutes from Mhamid. He made us local dinner(tajine) and breakfast. In the night we talked by a fire and he and his friends performed local music. Berbers are very nice people.
