“Stunning, warm hosts, and beyond our expectations!”

Absolutely beautiful property, location, and experience. There is a lot of intention, care, and love poured into this property and the overall hospitality experience—we were expecting it to be as lovely as it was, but not expecting the warmth we received from the host family. If you're on the fence, DO IT—stay here. The grounds are beautiful; you could not ask for a better location. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need, and we cannot wait to come back!

The hotel was right across the Frida Kahlo museum and the neighbourhood is very lovely - great market and park a few blocks away . The house is very old but amazing architectural features. There is a communal kitchen to use. The host family was super helpful and responsive - they sorted all our queries we had and let keep our luggage long after our official check in.

A really lovely villa. The rooms were spacious and welcoming with a coffee maker and microwave. The family welcomed us and went that extra mile and allowed us to store our bags for the day. It is so close to the Frida Kahlo museum.

It was a convenient location, next to to Frida Kahlo Museum, close to wonderful markets where the food was sensational, colourful, very presentable and the people were lovely. Minerva was lovely…with little English, she organised for a young friend to come in to interpret… A very clean and presentable property with a small shared kitchen… somewhere to boil the kettle and store things in the fridge.

We liked the great location and the security of the accommodation. The friendly welcome and farewell were appreciated too. The room was a little small for two but the seperate kitchen was very handy. Well recommend Villa Alfonsina to our family and friends

Just a gorgeous little haven away from the bustle of the neighbourhood, such a pleasure to stay there. No breakfast, but many great options in the area and an onsite kitchen if you wanted to prepare your own food. And being able to drink the tap water (it's triple-filtered) was truly wonderful.

The Villa is a gorgeous old house converted into little apartment rooms. It is very comfortable and the staff are very kind, when the wifi was too slow they immediately found a faster connection for me.

Incredibly beautiful colonial villa and wonderful hosts. We stayed for one night as we wanted to visit the Frida Kahlo museum and also go to the Cantoral theatre in the evening. Firstly I want to say how friendly and welcoming the hosts are, the whole family - super friendly. The room was well appointed with a nice powerful shower with hot water (showers are always hit and miss in Mexico from my experience). Very quiet and very secure. There's a little kitchen you can use to get potable water to drink or make a coffee too. The courtyard is beautiful and the building is directly across from the museum. We checked in at 3 and went to the museum (with a ticket) at 3:15. Book the museum at least two weeks in advance. I would 100% stay here and when we come back to Coyoacán, we will stay here and probably for longer. Coyoacán itself, if you haven't been, is very similar to Oaxaca in terms of food, drink and art. Fabulous place, a must see for a Mexico City trip.

Minerva and her son were so warm and helpful. The room was the cleanest hotel room that I have been in. I felt so cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is one of the most magical ones I've been to in Mexico City. The choices for delicious and affordable food nearby is endless. It is a 2 minute walk to Mercado Coyoacan which is where you want to be. I can't say enough good things honestly. Thank you!

Gorgeous old building and the closeness to The Frida Kahlo museum .

Villa Alfonsina is a gorgeous place, very nice style and there is a common kitchen that all the guests can use. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner (Minerva) and all the staff were super nice to us, very welcoming. They had Netflix on the TV and the room was cleaned every day. The area around is definitely a great one. Lots of cafés, shops, restaurants and a wonderful market and of course the Frida Kahlo Museum too.
