Location of the two bedroom apartment right on the sea with great views of sea and snow mountains. Got to see the Northern lights very nicely from the balcony in two nights. Staff was friendly too.

The view from the apartment was amazing. We were able to see the aurora from our living room on one of the evenings.

S I am writing to formally express my disappointment with our recent stay at Malangen Resort, which fell significantly short of our expectations, particularly given the high cost of the holiday. Unfortunately, due to insufficient snow conditions, many of the activities we had booked in advance were cancelled, including snowmobiling and husky sledding. This left us with very little to do during what was meant to be a full and engaging winter experience. The Reindeer Feeding activity was particularly disappointing. While we were charged 1,690 NOK per person, the experience felt extremely poor value for money. We were informed that this activity usually caters for 10–12 people; however, due to other cancellations, approximately 40 people were placed into one group. The activity felt badly organised, overcrowded, and completely overpriced for what was offered. The Arctic Spa was another major letdown. During our stay, the sauna was broken and the jacuzzi was only lukewarm. We attempted to use the spa on two separate occasions, but both times the facilities were not functioning properly. This was extremely frustrating, as the spa was a key factor in choosing the resort. Regarding the accommodation, while the cabins were clean, they were very basic and poorly maintained. Several lights were not working, and overall it was clear that routine checks were not being carried out. Given the premium price charged, I would expect all facilities and services to be fully operational. With so many activities cancelled, we asked staff for alternative suggestions, such as winter walks, to help pass the time. The only recommendation provided was the walk to Camp Nikka, which quickly became repetitive and did not offer the winter experience we had hoped for. Overall, this was an expensive week in which the only activity we managed to do was the reindeer feeding, which itself was disappointing. “Mixed feelings - poor customer service in a beautiful location”

The location is stunning! Food and restaurant staff was excellent. Snow shoeing activity was excellent with fabulous guides and beautiful location. Apartment itself was lovely, clean and good size. Kitchen worked well (staff quick to fix broken oven). Would recommend the apartments and bringing your own food. Would keep low expectations about the reception staff. Can't fault the restaurant staff.

A very nice hotel in a beautiful location with stunning views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had one meal at the restaurant, which was quite good. The place has a great atmosphere overall, and the pub is perfect for relaxing in the evening.
