“The perfect Chios experience.”

The house is absolutely stunning. Well designed, very clean, with some amazing original artistic furniture and architectural authenticity. The beds are AMAZING, so comfortable ! The towels and bed linen was so soft and smelled incredible. The air conditioning was fresh and strong. The best thing was Sevasti, the house manager…. She was so kind and helpful and made my whole stay very memorable.

The house was easy to find, and with the help of someone who welcomed us, we entered smoothly. The interior was unique and very different from other places we’ve stayed. The ambiance was amazing, and all the essentials for daily life were thoughtfully provided. Communication with the host was very easy and quick. We were extremely satisfied with our stay.

Beautiful traditional house with all facilities in the center of Medieval Mesta village. Has excellent atmosphere and leaves nice memories. We felt like traveling back to time in a romantic way. Recommended to couples and families. Peter & Sevasti always there to help if needed.

Thankyou for a wonderful stay in you beautiful house. The Island of Chios is a real gem. The medieval village of Mesta is a very special place and a wonderful example of well preserved history. Byzantine home in the castle is one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. The attention to detail is suburb, and every part of the house has something interesting to look at. If you ever get the chance to visit the Island of Chios I highly recommend visiting the wonderful village of Mesta. The property has everything you need for the perfect self catering stay. The owner is very helpful and arranged Ms sevasti to meet us at the cafe in the main square to show us to the property. Desponia who runs the local market shop is also very helpful, and sells amazing authentic products. My favourite being the sweet red wine. We will definitely be returning to the property later in the year. 10 out of 10 from us 😁

The house was amazing and every single details were considered by the owner. I'd really recommend the Byzantine Home who thinks to visit and stay in Mesta. My family and I absolutely enjoyed this experience.

The house had lots of character. Very historic and beautiful in a great location. Mesta is a beautiful village with very friendly people. We loved the atmosphere and it was so nice that there were no cars. We always found parking outside the village. We loved the beautiful beaches not too far away.

Amazing place to be.

We liked the house. İt was very comfortable and very clean. There were also every kitchen utensils you needed. Excellent location. The host was not just a host. They treated us like a friend. Whenever we needed they helped us. İt was also very important.

“a unique experience and strong support”

We arrived late in the night from Lesvos to Mesta Port - it was kind of them to pickup us up to walk us to the property. They even took the trouble to prepare some breakfast for us. The following day, after visiting Pygri, we got lost in the castle coz every door in the castle looks the same and someone has to put down his work to walk us back. Then somehow we managed to lock ourselves out with the key inside and received very prompt help and another unique experience besides getting lost in the castle. The property itself is right inside the pentagon shaped castle of Mesta, a stones throw away from the Panagia …the interior itself is very unique and nicely decorated with artefacts. I love the retro looking appliances too - it is a nice touch. It is a perfect location to explore Mesta and nearby Pygri. I recommend a walk to seek out the 5 towers of the castle and of course not to miss the unique architecture next door in Pygri. Throughout my stay, I received very strong support from the owner as if he is just next door. My kids commented that the people of Chios are the most welcoming we had experienced throughout our stay in Greece.
