“A wonderful stay at the seaside”
Our stay at Casa de Ale in Messina was an absolute delight! The hosts, Ale and Antonello, were exceptional, making us feel truly welcome. The villa itself was beautifully styled with traditional Sicilian charm, and having our own terrace with private beach access was a highlight. Being within walking distance to supermarkets and dining options made our stay convenient and enjoyable. My husband did the Messina Strait swim and this was an ideal base. Overall, a perfect 10/10 for an unforgettable Sicilian seaside experience!

“Great location for a peaceful get away and to explore Messina and nearby areas.”
Fantastic location, right on the sea front of the Straits of Messina. Great private garden and two cabin like rooms in a secure area, with access to a private beach. The kitchen area was outdoors in the garden and had wonderful views of the sea whilst having a morning coffee and watching the ships sail by. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Restaurants and shops were a short walk away.

“An authentic Sicilian beachside experience.”
The host was amazing. We had a massive outside area approx 100 square metres. Air conditioning was very effective. Able to walk out the back gate of property and into the ocean. A private beach with an umbrella and deck chairs. The property is close to amazing restaurants, which the host booked for us. At one restaurant, our table was less than a metre from the shore. I found out later that it was our host who got us the best table in the restaurant. I felt like a celebrity. The host's partner drove us to Messina Central Railway station at the end of our stay at no cost. When I offered him money (twice) at the station to cover petrol, he refused to accept it. They get very few overseas tourists, mainly Italians seeking a seaside vacation. The world is missing out on an authentic Sicilian experience. In the words of a past Californian governor, "I'll be back". I am not American, but I like his movies.
