Location, renovated

We stayed a couple of nights on our way from the North down to Pelleponese and the location was perfect for a short stop to explore the lagoon area. It's very different to any other place we visited. The Salt museum is just a short walk and definitely worth a visit. It is very well set up. The room was clean and comfortable with a big balcony. We enjoyed seafood in the downstairs tavern during sun set. Don't forget to communicate with the host prior to your arrival. I forgot and had to ring him to get the instructions to gain access to the apartment.

“Perfect for the price in wonderful location”

The location is very unique and quietly fabulous. The road across the lagoon makes it very special. Our room was very nicely updated and had large proper shower… rare in very affordable lodgings. Bed was really comfy (also rare) and we had a balcony with lovely sea and sunset views overlooking many little boat jetties plus islands and stilt shacks in the water. The characterful taverna below was delish with very spacious & shady dining area also with fabulous Ramsar Wetland outlook. We had two great meals there. Swimming a few moments walk away was lovely the water calm but great to have lifeguard for peoples little ones. The shopping and dining streets of Missolonghi were interesting and we had some nice meals there too. We would absolutely return if travelling down that way in future as hoped.

“A View to Die for”

The view from room number 6 was amazing. Even got to watch the sunset right from the comforts of the bed. The balcony is perfect size. 2 Restaurants are right there and nothing else. About 5km to center of town. The restaurant was located below the balcony, but it was dead quite during the night, even so all rooms were rented. Very peaceful. Nice beach only 100m walk away and the fishers dock in front. I got there and phoned the number displayed on the door. I got immediate response in English and the door code and Wifi info by SMS. Would recommend to everyone.

“One night to sleep and leave”

It’s not an apartment, it’s an en suite room. The bathroom is not new like the photos all the shelf is stained and worn. Be clear that it is above a restaurant. The view was not as idyllic as expected. The entrance and corridors made us feel uneasy arriving late at night. There was random stuff laying around. The noise from the water pipes from other rooms was unusually loud, we had to wear earplugs. This was the worst part along with the next issue: The toiletries were open with lids off, the one coffee pod “available” had been previously used then put back so was wet and pierced, I was quite disgusted to see stains on the bedsheet. There were crumbs on the shelf of the coffee machine, so was clear it hadn’t been touched to be cleaned. The humidity was very high outside but meant we had to sleep with the old air con machine on. If we hadn’t arrived so late due to an earlier delay in athens we would have left and found somewhere else, but there’s not a lot to be done arriving at 9pm.
