Our stay at Sunrise Palace Merzouga felt like a complete oasis after a difficult experience in the Sahara. The team were incredibly accommodating — they welcomed us early after we left our previous camp and allowed us to use the facilities straight away, including the outdoor pool and lounge area, which was exactly what we needed. They also kindly arranged lunch for us, despite it not being a standard offering at that time, which we really appreciated given the lack of nearby options. The property itself is very well done, with a relaxing atmosphere and great amenities. If you are considering spending more than one night in Merzouga, we would recommend splitting your stay and including at least one night here. They can also organise camel rides directly from the hotel, which is a great option. For those wanting a desert experience without fully committing to a tent, their connected tented property is a good alternative.

Sunrise Palace is a very special place. After two days in a camp we spent a night in this beautiful place. I will mention the food first as it was outstanding, lunch-dinner-and breakfast. The staff is very welcoming and warm. The hotel is beautifuly decorated, and the gardens are very serene. The room we had was spacious, clean and very pleasant.

I don’t have to think twice—this was one of the best stays I’ve ever had, and I travel a lot. The staff and food were exceptional, the rooms big, stylish and comfortable and having the place almost to ourselves made the experience even more special. Everything was perfect, and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The pool and the surrounding is so beautiful! We only had a small car and we still had no problem getting there , just know that at some point the regular road ends and you ll have to go really slow to get to the Hotel since its a sandy gravel road. My advice is to get there while its still bright!

The palace is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities you need. Our room for three people was very large and decorated nicely with good air-conditioning and the beds were very comfortable. The pool and surrounding area are spectacular and a great place to relax with the big dunes in the background. We had dinner next to the pool and the food was some of the best we have had in Morocco. Each dish was nicely prepared and presented with flair. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. I couldn't believe how quiet it was, great for us but such an injustice for the hotel and staff because it is one of the most amazing places I have stayed. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The pool was a good size and a lovely place to sit and relax with a view of the dunes. Food was incredible and massive portions. Definitely recommend doing the quad bike trip, so much fun. On our last night they did songs around the firepit - we didn't go as my wife was tired and wanted to get to bed for our early start the next day but I watched from the window and feel we really missed out!

“Best place to stay when you want to visit the desert in a quiet and non touristic area.”

The property looks amazing and is at a top location in the desert. It’s quiet, has beautiful decoration and the smell is great. Hassan and Mouha did everything to make our stay great. We were warmly welcomed and they cooked traditional Moroccan food for us (a lot of food!). They also arranged a sunset quad tour and sunrise excursion with camels. It was all seamless! We had an absolutely amazing time at Sunrise Palace in Merzouga! The hotel exceeded all our expectations with its fantastic facilities and comfortable rooms. After long days of exploring Marrakesh, returning to such a cozy and inviting space was a real treat. The food was exceptional and healthy; each meal was a delicious journey into Moroccan cuisine. The local wine selection also pleasantly surprised us, which worked beautifully with the dishes. However, what truly made this trip unforgettable was the warm welcome and exceptional guidance provided by Moha. His deep knowledge and passion for the region transformed our visit into a true discovery of the Sahara. He introduced us to the rich culture of the nomads, the stunning beauty of the oasis, and the welcoming local populations, like the remarkable "Groupe Zaid." Thanks to Moha and the Sunrise Palace team, we didn’t just visit the Sahara, we experienced it on a much deeper level. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable adventure in the desert! 🌟

Very beautiful, spacious and clean hotel with attentive staff and welcoming manager who made sure we have everything we need. We arrived very late but were able to get 3 meal dinner and organise a day trip the next morning. Room was big and well decorated, it was warm in December with air conditioning, there was enough hot water, beds were big, complimentary water in the room and the best thing of course - desert at your feet. Thank you very much!

The design of building and maintaining were absolutely amazing and gorgeous! Super friendly and kind staff and I am so happy to see them with my 1 year old daughter as they were amazingly supportive and loving to baby. I also liked camel ride and car tour as it was very fun and trustworthy guide😊 The location is isolated in a good way and very quiet and chill. For us, it was absolutely the best experience we have ever had and would like to stay there again one day ✨ Thank you so much for everything and everyone 🙏

“Perfect hideaway”

This hotel is absolute dreamy place and I wouldn’t go anywhere else in this area. You will experience luxury, comfort and beautiful views of the desert. We spent 3 nights in this hotel and felt taken care of by the entire team. You can walk directly into the desert from the back door next to the pool, which is perfect for sunset views but there’s also a rooftop! Rooms are specious, beautifully decorated and the entire place is spotless clean. The hotel provides breakfast and we also had dinner every night and one lunch. All the food was absolutely delicious and we both agreed that it’s probably the best we’ve had during our stay in Morocco. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking about visiting this part of the country.
