“Fantastic experience”

The experience and the accommodation was fantastic. Worked like clockwork, planned by the hosts from the first moment to the last. We were picked up in Merzouga at the agreed time, luggage travelled in the car, we rode the camels. When we got to the sand dunes, had a little break of the camel ride, waited for the sunset, which was a beautiful experience. Then arrived to the camp, we were directed to our tent which was a luxurious tent in the desert. It was magical. Spacious, warm and beautiful. The dinner - on Christmas eve - was a 4 course meal with delicious soup, roasted aubergine with cheese, tajine, and fruit salad. Everyone was looked after. We had a wonderful time in the great accommodation, the tent was fantastic, the best shower in Morocco. The breakfast after the sunrise was plenty and delicious buffet option. In the morning, when we requested, the cars were ready to take us back to the drop off point. We are grateful for the experience, I can only recommend! Thank you for having us.

“Wonderful activities and good service”

The camp and service met our expectations. Especially the dinner and breakfast are good in such a desert location. We experienced sunset camel riding and Quads and the activities are over our expectations.

Super experience, would highly recommend seeing the sunset & sunrise in the desert with Sahara Desert Luxury Camp. Staff is incredibly friendly and the tents are super comfortable. Enjoy this peaceful stay!

“A tourist centre but a way to experience the desert”

“Amazing desert experience”

Amazing experience overall. We rode a camel into the desert for about 1-1.5 hour, the staff was super kind and welcomed us upon arrival. The dinner and breakfast which were included were also delicious. The rooms are very modern, clean and has a full bathroom with hot water. We would love to visit back someday.

Our stay was amazing. Idir is a fantastic host. Every tent gets assigned a point of contact, for us this was Youssef. He made sure that everything was perfect for us. It is definitely recommended to stay 2 nights to do the Jeep tour. We drove through the area and the desert for about 4 hours with Youssef and it was truly amazing. The tent also has a very good and warm shower, the best we had during our 10 day trip through Morocco.

“Glamping to the max!”

This is glamping to the max - plumbed in toilets! More like little hotel rooms in the desert. Very well run. Arriving by camel is an experience and the camp is very beautiful at night (a little less so in light of day). Musicians by the fire were fun and joyful. Bring a bottle of wine to have with dinner if that is your thing.

“Amazing time”

First of all very kind and polite staff! Amazing tents (big bed, shower, toilet and a heater). Very clean. Amazing view. Great dinner and breakfast. We took a double quad to the camp and had an amazing time on it. The instructor/guide was amazing. We drove around in the dunes and did a little sand boarding. The instructor also took us on his quad to go for a fun fast ride. In general we had an amazing time!

The whole place was beautiful and the tents were really comfortable and warm. Everything was clean and the staff were really helpful!

“Highly recommend!”

First and foremost we would highly recommend this property to future visitors. It met all of our expectations. Since we were delayed on the road and arrived later than initially expected we missed the camel ride. However, our host made sure we were privately taken to the dunes by 4x4 in order to see the sunset. Much faster and bumpier and possibly much more fun! The staff was friendly and handled any request quickly. The tents were clean, comfortable and spacious. Surprisingly the shower pressure/hot water was fantastic. Just as good or better than any hotel room. The drums and music under the starry sky was a wonderful way to end the evening. Check out and the transfer back to town (where we parked our rental car) also went smoothly. Our possibly only Sahara experience in this lifetime will always be memorable for all the right reasons :)

The camp is more remote than most of the hotels and camps in Merzouga. You really feel like you are the only ones in the desert and the tents are original and clean. We loved the quat tour and decided to only stay for one night, which is enough if you arrive before sunset (and with the option to do camel ride to tents)
