The location was excellent. It took about 5mins from supratour bus station to the hostel. There was a ministore nearby (took about 30sec). I could buy bread, water, juice, snack and can food in the store. The host (Yousself) was very kind. He helped me arrange a 3day 2 night dessert trip that included two-way camel ride, two dinners ,two breakfasts and a rich lunch. The set lunch had a 12-inch pizza, salad, a pot of tea and oranges. After the dessert trip. Yousself let me stay at the hostel until 6pm without extra charge as I would have taken a night bus to Fes that set out at 7pm. All in all, I had a wonderful stay at Camel Trek Bivouac hostel.

“Best place to stay in Merzouga”

Yuseff was absolutely amazing, made my stay very enjoyable and even gave us a free couscous amongst going out of his way to help us while we were in Merzouga. Absolutely great man 🙏

Stayed in double room in the town. Great location if you want to stay in walking distance to the centre. Host was easy going. Old building but everything works.

Very good price- quality ratio. The two men are very helpful and very kind. They made sure all of our needs were met. The highlight of our stay in Camel Trek was riding the quads, which was very fun and we also got to do some sandboarding with the guide of the quad tour.

We felt very well at Camel Trek Bivouac. Youssef is kind and attentive. Location is very good, close to the bus stations, shop and a walking distance to the dunes. Breakfast was lovely, clean beds and warm water. As budget travellers, this was perfect for us.

“Very welcoming and a nice experience to stay”

A very nice place to stay in merzouga, the host is very welcoming as well as his family! The room is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is also very well prepared. 5 minutes to the center and got supermarket very near.

“Amazing advbenture in the desert!”

The host, Yusuf, was extremely kind. This place is actually a departure point to the desert camp (this is not explained very well in the ad), and to go there with camels and all, we paid extra. The adventure he offered was extremely well organized, we were well taken care of, the guys were very helpful and kind, the desert camp was amazing, good food, wonderful conditions, they also lit a fire, they played the local timpani and sang. Wonderful organization, everything was perfect, the staff was very kind. Highly recommend and many thanks to the host and his guys!!

The staff were so courteous. They also helped me arrange a desert tour and helped me store my luggage in the room during that time. I was grateful that they prepared light meals on the day of departure. Thank you.

I'm very glad that I didn't choose the first options that Booking offered because the other accommodations in the desert seemed like a scam, as they didn't mention the transport fee, which can reach up to EUR 60 per person. This accommodation, instead, is located in the town, super close to restaurants, banks, and other utilities. Youssef, the host, provided us with an incredible experience at his campsite in the desert when we booked the tour with him. He allowed us to leave our bags in our rooms and also let us shower at his accommodation after the desert tour before catching the bus. Youssef and the entire team were just incredible. I was so happy to have found this place.

good value for money, Yussef was excelent host, took care of everything including camel ride amd desert camp.

Excellent tour with camel and spend the night in the Sahara desert in the tent, you can see all the stars and the milky way. The dinner was amazing too. Highly recommended.

Youssef took care of everything. Very good value for money (there was a winter discount). I didn't take part in the camel tour. I walked through the dunes 😁.

“Hospitality +!”

Youssef did really take care of me. I loved that he made the bed on the rooftop, as that was really the best way to see the stars and to be able to sleep in the heat. I had a big room for myself. Please note that this place is not in the dessert itself. It is next to the dunes, close to the village. Youssef made sure I had something to do during the day, recommended me a pool and made sure I was ok. He even froze my bottle without me asking him, so he really takes care of his guest. I only stayed one night, but I did enjoy.

Youssef has offered to let us sleep on the terasse, because it was very hot in the night

“Perfect stay in Merzouga with lovely owner”

The owner is one of the friendliest and most helpful person we ever met in Morocco. We did the desert tour with him and he was open to the idea that we can walk to the camp, instead of taking a camel. The tour itself was very good and we really liked the food. The day after the tour he helped us to organise a bus transfer back to Marrakech and he was so nice to bring us there. The room itself is simple but very clean. For that price it was way better than expected. If you are looking for a good accomodation in Merzouga stay here. We can highly recommend it.
