The host was super welcoming us although we arrived at late at night, the breakfast was excellent! Very generous portion of breakfast!

For two nights it suited our purpose. We were the only people staying there so it was quiet. It is a small auberge and seems to be run solely by the owner who also cooks the meals which were delicious but if it was busier would need more staff.

Yousef, the host, was incredibly friendly. He speaks several languages fluently and truly makes an effort to ensure you have a great experience. We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay by one night. I honestly couldn’t have imagined it being any better. I highly recommend him if you are planning a Sahara tour. Booking through him is more affordable and you’ll get a much better experience.

“A good place to stay before entering desert”

Everything is working fine. Nice room nice bed. It’s comfortable. Boss is friendly. Socket next to the bed. Nice Terrasse. The boss helps us to arrange a tour to go inside the Sahara.

Youssef is a really nice host. He gave us some nice recommendations for the neighbourhood and an early check-in. The breakfast was really good!

Youssef is an awesome host.The location is superb on the edge of the dunes and facilities excellent. Roof top terrace is delightful and the food was some of the best we've had in Morroco.

What a amazing host Yussuf is. We arrived at 5 am and he gave us a room to rest, prepared amazing breakfast and gave us lot secret tips what to do around and also helped us with transport to our next destination. Also we visited local restaurant with berber pizza (when you exit hostel it is located on the right side - but from 5-6 pm). Amazing combination with local mind tea.

“Best stay in the desert with the best host!”

This property is incredible, mainly due to the owner Youseff who is the most hospitable person we’ve met!! He made us feel so welcome, told us great stories and helped us with everything we wanted to do in the desert. We stayed off the tourist route and it was the most amazing experience. We walked straight into the dunes from the property and had them all to ourselves for sunrise. The rooms are also so cute and comfy. Breakfast is exceptional and Youseff even let us use his pool in his hotel down the road. Do yourself a favour and stay here!!!!

Wonderful room, incredible food .... Breakfast and dinner!

Youssef was very very friendly, he helped us with lots of things! The rooms are simple but clean. There is an air conditioner, that was saving our lifes (46degrees outside!). During the day we could use the swimming pool in Youssefs other Riad.... The tour Youssef organised for us (Camel riding, sunset, 4x4 safari, overnight stay in the desert!) was AMAZING! Thanks for every thing!

“Wonderful stay: far more than we ever thought we would get from staying at Auberge Kasbah des dunes!”

Youssef cooked us the best food we ate in our 2 weeks in Morocco! We had a delicious tagine with meatballs (+ starter & desert) on our 1st night and the most fantastic '2 meat couscous' on our 2nd night: they are truly the best we had. He also prepared us 3 very nice and copious breakfasts. Youssef was very attentive to our needs, and although he is always available for a chat, a laugh (he's got such a great sense of humour!) and some advice on what to do when and where, he also makes himself very discreet when bringing your food to the table in order to give you the space you need. We absolutely loved staying at 'Auberge Kasbah des dunes' for the very reason that we met Youssef. He is the most genuine, funny, helpful and warm person and we are so glad we stayed there. It is not a Western world star rating like some people would expect it to be in their own country, but it really worked for us: we liked the authenticity and the story of the kasbah. We had everything we needed and the best host! He also arranged for us to stay in the desert, in a tiny camp, very cosy, with the most wonderful people, really in the middle of the dunes, with nobody around and it was simply magical. Please speak to Youssef about it rather than booking a desert trip with an agency (they use massive camps, all separated by just one dune, and on the edge of town... not for us...). We watched the sunset and the sunrise the following day: stunning. Not a sound in the desert. Truly magical! Youssef took everything we told him on board and delivered the best stay in the desert for us. There are no hidden or extra costs: what Youssef tells you is definitely what you pay. He was also very attentive with mineral water bottles, making sure we always has something to drink: most appreciated in 39 degrees temperature.

Room was very nice and the service was quite simply amazing. The owner made every wish possible. We could even use the swimming pool of a nearby accommodation.

youssef was de best, we had dinner together as he also is a great cook. The hospitality is really good and he makes you feel home. i only stayed for one night and this was for sure too short
