This converted freighter from 1928 boasts picturesque countryside views in Merkem, 11 km from Diksmuide. The ship is called 'De BOOT'and it is moored by the river. Guests can enjoy having the entire boat to themselves which includes a bar and terraces. Free WiFi is available. Equipped with ecological lights, a toilet and shower, De Boot includes five bunk beds, a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The boat also has a deck overlooking the river and there is a special ‘snoring’ cabin with a single bed which overlooks the fields. The terraces are ideal for picnics and barbecue facilities are provided. Situated on the Ieper-IJzer canal in an area ideal for recreational cycling, De Boot also offers bicycle rental. The centre of Ieper is 25 minutes’ drive away. Private parking is available on site.
