Finca Mystica is absolutely amazing, it’s so hard to leave! The dorms are some of the nicest I have stayed in. The evening meal is really delicious, with loads of veggies in the vegetarian options. The staff are lovely. The remote location means the stars are incredible.

It’s super green, hot shower, cool climate and good staff that provide help with tours.

“Magical”

We loved our stay here. The setting is magical, surrounded by lush gardens with amazing views. We loved the gorgeous dogs and cats, they really made it for the kids! I was nice to have a pool too. Breakfasts were delicious as were the huge cups of steaming hot coffee in the morning and highly recommend the passionfruit and lime juice. The staff were super friendly and helped organise horse riding for us and even came in early to make the kids toast before we left. A really lovely experience.

“Amazing”

LOVED it here - a little slice of paradise. The lovely staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and as good as it could be. Everything felt relaxed! Lots on offer in terms of tours and trips and they were helpful in arranging transport and lunches. The food was great and we enjoyed the family style vibe at dinner as it meant we could chat to others. It is out the way a little, but in the heart of the nature and trails so depends what you’re after, a moped if wanting to explore would be a must. The room itself was comfortable, with a lovely little terrace and hammock. We didn’t use the pool but it looks great. If we could have extended our stay, we would have done.

Great staff who help you with booking any activities you want. The food is good which is key because the property is quite remote. Hot showers and good air con.

The location is amazing, the lodgings are small but exactly all you need, very peaceful with outstanding views. Staff, and in particular, Wilfredo, we're excellent, all very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended for those with an adventurous spirit!❤️

A little slice of heaven. Just go, it’ll be the best place you stay! Views all around and completely encased in nature. We brought our 7 month old and even he loved it. The staff there were delighted to cuddle him too! Absolutely great location with a little market at the end of the road … a beach and hiking trails towards Maderas. Just everything .. the kitchens food and cocktails were also amazing ✨ The owners and staff are very sound, knowledgeable and welcoming . THANK YOUUUS

Its very beautiful place. But you need a scooter. Dorm is huge, big beds, nice showers. Nature is all around you. The served tasty food and smoothies are so delicious 🤤 owners were really friendly.

Very beautiful property. The owners and staff are very nice and help you organise activities and transportation and anything else you might need. They offer good food, everything is clean and over all just a nice place to stay for a couple off days and relax.

“Perfect relaxed family stay in Ometepe the most beautiful quiet spot away from any of the busier parts further north”

Set in the most beautiful location, tucked in on the side of the southern volcano, a 10 minute walk up from the most beautiful west facing beach you find Finca Mystica. Ryan, his family and team couldn’t be more welcoming. We were there for only 48 hours but they helped us fill the days to the full, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, farm tours and beautiful swims and then back for the most delicious locally produced dinners. Lucky us to have found them!

“Mystic Garden relaxing!!”

Man! Where to start. Of course the drive was very offroad, and we had rented a 4x4 for other reasons, so all good. But the nature up the driveway and to the main building were sooo nice and then arriving where all staff smile at you and are warm! Yes the owner is American, but involved and hires everyone locally and takes care of them! The place has character!! And the food!!! We sadly booked only 2 nights here and 2 nights at a different well rated place, but we actually returned for an evening and dinner! They grow their greens on the ground and cook with a lot of taste and Nicaraguan love! The houses are large and we had 3 beds, so us being with 2 kids was optimal. The gardens are lush and we used the pool, the training area and almost every meal at the finca. San Ramon falls very close, be prepared for off road drive and difficult hike, worth it. The beauty is also that the eating area is the lounge/play/socialize area, and everyone who came mingles, talks, times out, eats together but all no pressure. Talked to likeminded and again all staff and owner Ryan ask questions and share! We will definitely recommend and be back!!

This place was one of the best places we ever stayed! So enormously friendly, all staff was interested and helpful, even 5 very cute puppies when we were there! Food was delicious, we liked that family style dinner is the idea, and good overview of possible activities. We enjoyed both the waterfall hike and the kayak tour. Super super recommended!

We chose Finca Mystica as our base for exploring Ometepe, and it turned out to be the best place we’ve ever stayed during our travels. Even before arriving, the staff were quick to respond to our messages and helped us arrange transportation. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The property is stunning, beautifully maintained with so much love and attention to detail. The garden is truly magical, full of hidden corners to explore and relax in. Jairo welcomed us warmly and gave us a tour of the finca. Our private cabana had a breathtaking view of the lake, a hammock in our own little garden, and a terrace to unwind. It was spotless, mosquito-free, and even had a warm shower, which was much appreciated after a rainy hike. During our stay, we hiked both volcanoes, rented a motorcycle, and explored the island. Jairo and Wilfredo were always ready to help organize activities and gave excellent recommendations. Beyond that, we enjoyed many great conversations with them about Ometepe, nature, and the finca itself. The food and drinks were another highlight. Everything is freshly prepared, often with ingredients grown on-site. From delicious breakfasts to refreshing cocktails, every meal was a treat. On early hiking days, they even prepared breakfast and lunch to go. Honestly, Finca Mystica alone makes Ometepe worth visiting. Whether you’re looking for adventure or just a peaceful retreat in nature, this place is perfect. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
