“Comfortable apartment in Center of Meran - highly recommended”

Well equipped, clean and spacious apartment in the Center of Meran - friendly and helpful landlord who was quickly at hand to answer our queries . Would have no hesitation to return again.

Our stay at Penthouse Jolanda exceeded our expectations. The apartment was easy to find. Obviously recently renovated, it was very clean, warm and welcoming upon our arrival. So lovely staying in a historic building... but with all the mod cons! The centre of Merano is reachable within a pleasant, 5-minute, tree-lined walk from the apartment. For our first short break in Merano, this location was perfect - all the city attractions we planned to visit were easily accessible on foot. The facilities were just as described. Parking, just behind the historic building, was easy - clearly indicated and secure. The beds were comfortable. A modern bathroom, with bidet and non-stop hot water for showers, hotel-grade towels - lovely. Everything worked fine - lights, sockets, WiFi. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare and serve meals, from cutlery and crockery, to a toaster, kettle and even a plug-in grill and food processor/mixer. Dishwasher tabs, kitchen paper roll, washing up liquid? Tick tick tick! Some ground coffee and tea/herbal infusions were waiting in the cupboard - really appreciated. Note that the entrance to the lift is a little narrow - an open, standard size baby buggy or wheelchair might not fit, so best to check exact dimensions with the management. The building itself felt safe and was quiet and tranquil throughout our stay. The balcony was beautiful. The view is mostly of mature treetops and the foliage was beautiful. Though it didn't bother us, some traffic noise from the street below was audible, especially at peak times. So, if you are a light sleeper, or like leaving windows a crack open at night, e.g. during summer months, we would suggest bringing earplugs to be sure. The property manager, Thomas, happened to be out of town when we arrived in Merano, but he still checked in to make sure everything was ok, was very helpful with any questions we had, and remained contactable throughout our stay.
