The attention to detail was remarkable, and it’s clear the hosts genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Every aspect of our stay — from cleanliness to service — was flawless. The atmosphere felt personal and authentic, which made it even more special compared to larger, impersonal hotels. It felt like home! Extremely comfortable rooms and the location was a 10 min drive from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and you could even rent bikes from the front desk. Spa was excellent with a variety of facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel for someone wanting a quiet, relaxed holiday.

“A perfect escape in the mountains”

Wonderful service, food and facilities. Great for families - our group ranged from 4 to 80. Brilliantly designed so never feels busy.

We had a suite which was a beautiful room overlooking the pool with a balcony. Wonderful facilities: indoor pool, outdoor pool, rooftop hot tubs, steam room, sauna and cold plunge. The central outdoor enclosure around the pool was stunning. Fruit trees, hedges, flowers which gave the hotel a constant fleural aroma and provided hidden outdoor seating arrangements. This is off the backdrop of the mountains as well. The family runs it with a delicacy of care that is uncanny. For example, every morning you recieve a wax sealed menu for the evening should you choose to dine at the hotel in the evening. Or you can request the hotel to make a home made apple strudel to take home (free) as a parting gift. I also loved the lodge like bar which hosted a variety of whiskies and cigars (gents you'll love this). I could go on. In summary if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful mountainous setting, this is your hotel. Thank you Ansitz Plantiz I am sure we'll be back!

“No Customer Focus at all!!!”

The hotel gives a fantastic first impression. The grounds, gardens are the best I have ever seen from any boutique hotel. It is heavenly. The views from the whirlpool terrace were awesome & the location was perfect. Quiiet, only 10 minute walk to the centre of Merano. My room was in the modern wing which was stunning. The spa & the reastaraunt, all hit the note with me..... I even enquired if I could have a six month stay. The food is fantastic. The owner's son who works there understands Customer Experience and even at 21 the reigns should be handed over....Now read why I give this such a bad score. I couldn't fit in all the challenges & problems we had into the space for the review. Needless to say: we went to a neighbouring place for our evening meal on the second night where nothing was too much of a problem.

Everything, from customer service (valet service bringing luggage to car, separate breakfast room etc.) to cosy luxurious atmosphere but not "over the top", incredible bath products and bathroom/shower, very good breakfast, swimming pool etc.

We had a room upgrade to a Suite, which was a very nice gesture, much appreciated. - the suite was in the new wing, modern spacious and well designed. With All the little details that seasoned Travellers appreciate. The bed was comfortable, there was a walk-in wardrobe, and a daybed lounge area. Large shower - the spa area was large relative to size of hotel, with lots of relax areas, saunas, infra red, steam bath rooms. Excellent. We had massages by Sarah which was good. - the garden must be the pride & joy of the owner.. nice landscaping (some parts look like a Japanese garden), with fruit trees as well. - overall the hotel and room was very clean - good location- only 10-15 minute walk into town, part of it was a nice walk by the river.

What makes Hotel Ansitz Plantiz so special: The friendly personnel: We read some negative reviews regarding the staff, however this situation, if true, has been remedied. The personnel at the front desk, bars, room service and dining areas always greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. Any questions or requests we had were immediately addressed in a friendly manner. The Golden Spa: The Golden Spa area was the most relaxing spa we have visited. The bio infra-red cabin was fantastic. It was located in what felt like a small outdoor tranquil oasis where we could hear the birds singing from outside. In another area of the spa is a large, yet cozy, sauna and an aromatic steam room. The food and wine: we were impressed by the high quality of the food. The experienced chef created 4 courses which were delicious. The antipasto buffet was a meal in and of itself. Breakfast was super with omelettes cooked to your order, freshly prepared fruit and vegetable smoothies. The rooms: we stayed one of the panoramic view rooms which gave us a bird’s eye view of the alps and the beautiful grounds of the hotel. The location: the hotel is perfectly located with only a 6 minute car ride or 12 minute bus ride to the beautiful center of Merano. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel. We walked out of the hotel and were in the heart of breath taking hikes, bike trails and lifts into the alps. The 2 heated pools, 2 whirlpools and the hotel gardens were beautifully situated surrounded by majestic views of the alps. They spoil their guest: a desert lovers fantasy is the afternoon cake buffet which is free of charge when you order a coffee. Boutique hotel: offers personalized service for any special needs or fancies you may have. Activities: yoga, Pilates, body and mind lectures, tractor rides through the orchids, wine tours, hikes, walks etc. etc. Ambience: perfect mix of classic alpine & sophisticated modern. Checkout day free use of the Golden Spa & facilities.

I just visited the hotel with my husband. We were highly impressed with its clean and comfortable rooms and additional facilities. Their staff behaviour is also excellent. One of the best hotels we have been so far. I highly recommend it!

An excellent place

“Very pleasant stay, will definitely recommend.”

All the spaces are very intimates, flowers everywhere. The Hotel is not in the center so they provided bus ticket, which make the center of Meran very easily accessible. The property is clean and the staff is friendly. Bed is comfortable. The whole place is quiet, well thought and nicely decorated. The breakfast was really nice in an open air restaurant. At arrival we were invited for a special drink which was delicious. I also enjoyed the shop they have selling a lot of small items you can find in the property. Great experience, will definitely go back and recommend.

Everything! The hotel is great, it is small but has everything you need. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pool was great, the bar and restaurants are located very comfortably.
