Overview
Located 5 minutes' walk to the Mendocino Bay beach, the Headlands Inn Bed and Breakfast is in the heart of Mendocino village. This New England-style Victorian saltbox offers personalized service and charming accommodations, including fresh flowers, chocolates, and wood burning fireplaces. Feather beds, down duvets and Victorian-style furniture are offered in each uniquely-decorated guest room at Headlands Inn Bed and Breakfast. Select rooms are offered a gourmet breakfast daily, and some feature a wood-burning fireplace and an ocean view. Free WiFi is available. An en suite bathroom provides plush bathrobes, a hairdryer and upscale toiletries. The homemade breakfast includes juices, coffee, tea, home-baked goods, fresh fruit, and a hot entree such as a Southwestern souffle, artichoke frittata or peach-stuffed French toast with a side of sausage. Afternoon tea and cookies are served daily in the upstairs parlor. Juices, spring water, sherry and candies are always available in the lobby. “Cosy, cute, and delightfully chintzy!”
Such a cute place!! Well located. I arrived after the owners had left but clear instructions were available and I accessed my room without issue. Bed was soft but, even as a firm mattress sleeper, it was SO comfy and I had a good sleep. Breakfast was amazing. Sweet gesture: I was given a half bottle of local wine as it was a birthday trip
