Breakfast offered a good choice. I recommend not keeping butter in the fridge when the ambient temperatures are already low. It was unspreadable!

Choice on the evening menu was excellent and price/quality was equally good. Wine menu seemed well priced too. Beds were comfortable, bedroom on 2nd floor was spacious and warm. Welcoming ref travelling with a dog.

Beautifully tasteful decor throughout. The room and bathroom were well appointed, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff and food were exceptional.

The staff are friendly and very helpful.We booked a comfort plus room which was more like a little suite. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room was spotless and the fridge a welcome addition .The double glazing stopped all road noise and a good night's sleep was gas by all. The restaurant food was amazing and very good value as was breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great location with secure parking just opposite and secure garage for bikes . Staff found us rooms that were easy to access - which was only a request upon arrival . Very helpful

“A superb local hotel in a delightful old city”

It is a beautiful hotel with a very pretty airy restaurant. Our room was very large with a large and light bathroom. The bed was very comfortable . We arrived with our dog. The staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. The meal in the restaurant was most enjoyable and beautifully cooked and presented. We shall certainly return asxwe really like Mende and surrounding area. Our digcenjiyed the short walk to the riverside open space. which is very pretty.

Hotel de France clearly has an excellent chef. Dinner was magnificent. Easy parking for 5 Euros. Large clean comfortable bedrooms. Very helpful and charming staff
