An excellent location being only a few minutes walk from the bus and train station, but also within the old city wall, so a few minutes from all the sights. Large, spacious rooms, comfy and clean. Breakfast is €13 and typical continental style buffet with fresh pastries, eggs, salad, cheeses and meat etc The attached bar and resturant is open everyday (closed 2-5pm) and serves a good selection of delicious food (Balkan, Mediterranean and local), popular with the locals. The owner and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

I wish I could award more than 10 points. We genuinely enjoyed every aspect of our experience. To begin, the room was impeccably clean, and the bed and mattress felt incredibly comfortable, almost like sleeping on clouds. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant was truly outstanding, among the best I have ever visited.

We needed a place After missing our connecting flight to Malta due to a Ryanair delay, we ended up booking Hotel Schwanen in Memmingen, and it turned out to be a great choice. We originally picked it based on strong reviews, but it exceeded our expectations. The staff were warm and hospitable, and despite only speaking English, we had no issues communicating. Our room was very comfortable, though the shower is on the smaller side, which might be less ideal for larger guests. The location is excellent, central to downtown and easily reachable from the airport by shuttle. The hotel’s restaurant stood out—popular with locals, serving generous portions, and offering a welcoming atmosphere. Locals themselves were very friendly, which added to the positive experience. With helpful extras like arranging an early taxi to the airport, we would highly recommend this hotel for a short stay.
