Bathroom needs updating

“Avoid avoid avoid!”

I booked a room here and proactively notified the hotel 2 days in advance (via Booking.com and email) that my flight would land at 21:10. Despite travelling with a 2-year-old child, the hotel’s response was a blunt 'No check-in after 21:00 possible.' In an industry based on hospitality, it is shocking that they offered NO alternative—no key box, no code, no flexibility—even though they were informed of the situation. To make matters worse, despite explicitly refusing to accommodate us, they still charged a 90% 'no-show' fee. This is predatory and lacks any basic empathy for families. If you have a flight that might be tight, avoid this hotel; they prioritize their rigid clock over their guests' well-being. Later edit (just because I am sure they will lie again here like on maps): Your response is factually incorrect and misleading. My reservation was non-refundable, as confirmed by Booking.com. Claiming I could 'cancel for free' is false. You sent me an official email stating: 'Check-in after 21:00 is NOT possible'. Telling a guest it is impossible to enter and then claiming a colleague 'waited until 22:00' is contradictory and cynical, especially since you were informed my arrival was 22:30. You chose to charge a 90% fee for a 'no-show' while actively refusing to provide a way to enter the property. This confirms exactly what I stated: you prioritize technicalities and fees over basic human hospitality for a family with a small child.

WiFi didn’t work in my room, double bed was just 2 singles pushed together and couldn’t be used as a double. Very outdated

“One Restful Night Made a Good Day”

'Hiemer' is a classic hotel with big corridors and big rooms, and is solid, comfortable, and traditionally welcoming. It is in a quiet part of town and offers a nice breakfast.

Lovely, quiet hotel. Spotless and ideal for solo travellers.

It is a 20min walk from the town centre, so either walk or take a taxi. Hotel restaurant is closed on a Sunday. Staff were very helpful.

Great restaurant, quiet location, very dog friendly,about 20 minute walk to Memmingen centre, partially along riverside.

Really nice hotel and the food was great in the restaurant, only stayed one night as we were just using it as a stopover on the way to Italy. Rooms were good, beds good, staff were really good and helpful.

We liked the hotel, it was clean and tidy. Good location. Breakfast included in the price.

The hotel was closed until 4pm with no where in the area to wait.. The restaurant also had outdoor dining which was great for the dog. Not a great choice for vegetarians.

A great place to stop over. Doors open a 4pm so had to wait as we were a little early. Comfortable rooms, breakfast and dinner both excellent and plenty of choice.

The helpful staff and excellent service, we stayed 2 nights on our trip from uk to southern bavaria (Mittenwald) and intend to repeat on our return Journey towards the end of July.
