This was a fantastic stay, and in my view the number one place to stay in Melnik! The hospitality of the staff was first class, with the host being very welcoming, with consist great recommendations. The rooms were very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! We can’t wait to come back!

The property is impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable. The owners are incredibly kind and hospitable. The breakfast is outstanding and not to be missed. The surrounding natural scenery is stunning and leaves a lasting impression.

A wonderful place! The rooms are amazing – very clean, cozy, and well-equipped, just perfect for a relaxing stay. The location is fantastic, and the view is simply amazing. Keep in mind that there is a bit of an uphill walk to reach the house, which might be challenging for people with limited mobility, but for us it wasn’t a problem.  What impressed us the most was the hospitality – you are welcomed warmly, always with a smile and genuine care. You truly feel as if you’re visiting friends rather than staying in a guest house. Highly recommended, and we would definitely come back again!

Manoleva House is located right at the top of Melnik and has lovely views down the valley. It also means it is a bit further to walk than some other hotels. Directions are excellent - there is lots of parking (unlike further into town), and you have to walk the last 50m up a stone path to the hotel. The rooms are warm, clean and comfortable. There are plenty of power points, pleasant toiletries, and very good beds and bedding - we slept really well! The manager (owner?) was really helpful, spoke excellent English, and recommended (and booked) dinner for us at a local restaurant. Breakfast was also very good - the mekici were excellent!

Manoleva House is an absolute jewel, a beautiful, peaceful and hospitable property that matches the charms of traditional accommodations with the comfort and cleanliness of modern homes. The staff was extremely kind and the breakfast is magnificent. It is located right next to Kordopoulova House, one of the main attractions of Melnik. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful setting high up in the village with great views. Friendly family run place with delicious and substantial home cooked breakfast. Nicest place we’ve stayed in Bulgaria. Would recommend hike to monastery and visit to wineries.

Our stay was wonderful! The hosts were lovely and very helpful with any requests. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room. The view is breathtaking and homemade breakfast is delicious.

Margarita and her son Iliya were fabulous hosts. Margarita was prompt to respond on WhatsApp and so helpful. She gave me brilliant information on what to do in town, including the most wonderful sunrise hikes to the monastery and fortress with incredible views of the sandstone Earth Pyramids. She also helped me arrange the bus to Sofia. Amazing delicious breakfast with fresh fruit platters and options of homemade mekitsi or omelettes. Lovely shared space and patio with view. Beautifully clean and stylish property. This is located at the top of the town and very convenient to the Shestaka winery and Kordopulov House - both 20 meters away. It was 38 degrees the days I was there and I appreciated being able to enjoy some wines in the cool cave on such a hot day.

Location is superb, room very comfortable

The overall feeling was of being at home, the owner went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We would like to return again as it was one of the nicest places we have been.
