first i was given a discount as i was not staying for the night (i was on the evening ferry), two days after my stay my card got charged with the regular amount on top of what i had already paid? when i pointed it out i got the discounted amount transferred back, but there was never any comment/explaination/apology from the hotel = instant shady vibes!

Very friendly guy at the reception that allowed us to keep our backpacks there for a couple of hours after check-out. The room is big enough and the bathroom is really new and nice. AC works very well

If you give more focus onto the city than the beach, the localization is great. Cafes and bars are next street and everything else is 5-10 minutes walking distance.

“overall, I would definitely recommend for travelers on a budget.”
The location was perfect, centre city, close to the beach, a beautiful park was nearby, it was also close to Melilla la vieja, I was able to walk to these places within 2 to 15 min maximum. the staff was also nice and responsive which I really appreciated. the internet was pretty good, and icing on the cake, my room had a beautiful view on the street.
