Excellent location by the waterfront on Southbank. Amazing views from the room of the river and city. Beautiful and well appointed hotel. Thoughtful and carefully planned & wonderful facilities - small touches like antique handles to all drawers or cupboards, decorations matching well with interiors or themes, spacious rooms. Very nice fragrance throughout the hotel (apparently it is Ginger Rose signature of Langham facilities) A handwritten welcome note was a small and thoughtful gesture to make us feel special 5 stars to all staff whoever we interacted with (no exception)

“Not what we'd expected”
A premium hotel should not turn off the air conditioning to rooms overnight. Both our room and the one occupied by our friends were extremely hot overnight as the AC was remotely disabled to the rooms and could not be turned on in the room itself. No windows are able to be opened of course and only a heavy winter doona on the bed Be aware you'll also pay $18 for a glass of Prosecco from a $17 bottle (which is the retail price mind you). Some of the furnishings in the room are showing the signs of wear.

“Beautiful short transport into a night of grandness and luxury”
A beautiful hotel with lots of grandeur. It makes you feel relaxed and appreciated when you walk down the grand staircase or when you are greeted by the bellboy. The towering ceilings and extravagant flower arrangements are stunning whilst rooms are well appointed and bathrooms carries the royal charm of grandness.

Staff very kindly granted my request for an early check in, and when downstairs staff member wasn't available to arrange a taxi, the concierge ran down and did it himself for me.
