“Very comfy and fun”

The staff here make the hostel feel like home, they are incredibly friendly and super helpful. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy and the vibes are great. The rooftop is nice to chill and meet the other guests. The tv room is also very comfy and a common spot to socialize or meet people during hostel events. The kitchen is very decent for a hostel of this price, which isn’t always the case in other hostels All and all this place is great if you’re just visiting for a few days, but still comfortable enough for long term stays while looking for permanent accomodation I very much enjoyed my stay here

I rarely write reviews, but this hostel genuinely exceeded my expectations. What impressed me the most was the staff. I've stayed in many hostels around the world, and the team at Mad Monkey Melbourne is among the most dedicated, friendly, and hardworking I've ever encountered. They genuinely care about the guests, always take the time to help, and make everyone feel welcome from day one. Another thing that stood out was the cleanliness. The staff constantly keeps the hostel clean and organized, which creates a very comfortable atmosphere, even when the hostel is busy. Everything is well maintained and managed professionally. The value for money here is exceptional. For the price you pay, you get so much more than just a bed. There are games, social spaces, and activities that make it incredibly easy to meet people. On top of that, there are events almost every day, and guests are regularly invited to join. It's one of the most social and community-oriented hostels I've stayed in. What surprised me most is how well organized everything is. Honestly, some hotels could learn a thing or two from how efficiently this place is run. Despite being a hostel, it feels structured, professional, and guest-focused at all times. I would also highly recommend it for long-term stays. The atmosphere, facilities, cleanliness, organization, and supportive staff make it a place where you can comfortably stay for weeks or even months. Super cozy hostel with amazing facilities and better location for exploring Melbourne. The vibe was incredible and the people were so open and friendly. Also, a special shoutout to Víctor from the staff, who went above and beyond and helped us out so much. I would definitely stay here again!

“Excellent place.”

Room was clean and comfy. I felt it was a slightly difficult place to find from walking, off to the side and within another business on the ground floor. The workers were very friendly and chill, someone greeted me straight away and we had a little difficulty at sign out but everyone worked really hard to help out. Questions were answered well, and the place felt comfortable and safe.

Frankly, I am more than satisfied with my stay at Mad Monkey Melbourne 😍 The place is really amazing: clean, warm, with a great atmosphere. You feel good there from the first moment. The manager is just exceptional, a true love. Always available to help, super helpful, no matter the request. It's rare to come across someone so involved and human 🙌 And what about the people there... everyone is adorable! A super friendly atmosphere where you quickly feel at home. Honestly, I recommend 1000%, it's clearly one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Thank you for everything 💛
