I’ve had one of my best stays over here. Sean and Natasha made me feel at home the moment I arrived. Amazing hosts, delicious local breakfast, nice clean pool, cosy clean room. Didn’t want to leave the residence while I was there 🤭 Will be back for sure!!

This is a lovely property with 4 comfortable rooms in the garden and around the pool. The garden provides an oasis of greenery, the pool is great and the breakfasts are delicious. Best of all is the personalised service of Sean and Natasha, who go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. They made our stay memorable. Highly recommended.

If you want peace & quiet, this is the hotel to choose. It’s a small hotel, about 20 min walk from the old town centre. A very tasty breakfast is cooked by Elizabeth and served from 9 onwards. Both Elizabeth and her daughter Rose are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The garden is beautifully planted with all sorts of plants. The swimming pool is great at the end of a hot day. Right next door is a very good Indian restaurant , O La Mekala.

Host and hostess are very nice and friendly. Nice food and breakfast. The host was exceptionally friendly and patient. Upon our departure, he graciously insisted on waiting with us for the Grab ride and personally saw us off. We thoroughly enjoyed our engaging conversation with him.

The owners Sean and Natasja and their incredible cook Elisabeth made our stay at this pearl of a hotel an unforgettable experience. The four rooms are located in the beautiful garden of the old Governeurs House, where history and beauty meet. The marvellous warm breakfast with pleasant stories starts your day in Melaka beautifully. Sean presented during the day all kind of local foodsnacks. In the patio you can sit and enjoy fresh water, tea or coffee all day. So much better than the big hotels!

We had a great stay! It's a beautiful historical Dutch guesthouse within walking distance from the old city where you can see beautiful Unesco world heritage buildings. Lovely owners. Very friendly! Very hospitable! Ryan, their son, took us on a tour through Malakka, which was great. We definitely recommend it to everyone who likes to learn about Malakka's rich culture and history (on foot). Breakfast was delicious too. If you are in Malakka you should definitely stay here. We loved the guesthouse but foremost the personal touch from the owners. We had a very nice four night stay away from the bustling city centre, everybody was very nice and cared for us in every possible way. We got different breakfast each day, introducing new Malay dishes. The pool was perfect for our morning and afternoon swim and the room was really great with old furniture, matching the fact that the Dutch residence was built 1810. We can only recommend this place for everyone that need peace and quiet after the noisy city centre.

This place is an absolute gem, it's an oasis in the middle of Melakka with a beautiful garden, relaxing pool and historical building. We felt so safe and welcome. The owners are truly the best hosts you can wish for. They did their absolute best to give us an amazing holiday with excellent service. They were super with our kids.
