Our stay was exceptional due to the hotel's luxurious amenities and prime location for exploring Central Switzerland. The room was spacious, the breakfast selection was excellent, and the staff provided top-tier service. Most notably, the balcony views are breathtaking—you can see lush green mountains, snow-capped peaks, and a waterfall directly from your window. Its central location made traveling to Interlaken (30 mins) and Lucerne (1.5 hours) very convenient.

This hotel, a short-notice stopover on our way through Switzerland, was an unexpected joy. The astonishing decor is like something out of a movie, as are the breakfasts. The staff were helpful. The gardens were a wonderful place to sit in.

This hotel is SO beautiful! It is located right downtown Meiringen a beautiful town in the Swiss Alps, surrounded by mountains and rivers. The hotel is full of beautiful paintings and art and has an amazing backyard which is also a restaurant. The staff was incredibly nice too.

“Beautiful Views in a Charming Palace Hotel”

We had a truly enjoyable stay at Parkhotel Du Sauvage. The hotel sits in a stunning location with incredible views of the Swiss Alps. Our room was on the top floor and offered breathtaking scenery right from the window. The space was very comfortable, with a large sitting area that felt like a small living room, a separate bedroom, and even a spacious bathtub. The bed was soft and cozy, and there was also a very large wardrobe that easily fit our luggage. The hotel itself feels like a historic palace, decorated with beautiful artwork that gives it a museum-like atmosphere. The receptionist was very kind and welcoming. We also appreciated the free parking right next to the hotel. The town of Meiringen is small and charming, with a supermarket just a short walk away. In the room, the kettle, tea and coffee supplies, and the mini fridge were thoughtful touches. Even without air conditioning, the late August weather was perfect — we didn’t miss it at all and even used the heating one evening. Breakfast was satisfying, with croissants, orange juice, cheeses, yogurt, eggs, fresh vegetables, coffee, and more. It wasn’t extravagant, but perfectly adequate to start the day — very much in line with a typical European breakfast. The location of the hotel was perfect as a base for exploring the area. It was easy to reach Interlaken, Grindelwald, and the surrounding region, while still returning each evening to a spacious room with amazing views.
