This place exceeded our expectations. What a fantastic place - everything was great, the facilities, the food and the staff who went above and beyond. The biggest highlight was the safari activities which blew us away, the lodge is perfectly located to do activities and also see wild animals throughout the day. The naturalist, Tek, expertly guided us and it was a pleasure to see his passion about the animals and jungle. Couldn't recommend more and thank you for a wonderful stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barahi Jungle Lodge. I went there with my brother and we were both impressed with the facilities as well as the staff on site. It was during Christmas and the team had organised wonderful lunches and dinners for everyone staying. We also booked a jungle Safari and a boat Safari through the lodge and both were organised very well. We spotted rhinos Deers and several birds during the jungle Safari which was quite exciting. The guides for both were knowledgeable and very helpful. I must also talk about the wonderful location which overlooks the Rapti river and made for a calm and serene getaway. I wish I could have stayed for longer and will come back for sure.

The buildings and decor are first class. Location just across the river is perfect. Staff helpful and efficient. Everything absolutely top notch.

We stayed at Bahari Jungle Lodge and overall had a pleasant experience, but there are some areas that clearly need improvement. Rooms & Facilities The rooms were very clean and maintained to a high standard, with several cleanings per day. The pool area was also clean with good service and plenty of fresh towels available. Food & Dining Breakfast was very good. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, with additional offerings like freshly made omelettes, pancakes, and even dosa. The dinner buffet was also very good. However, the “bush dinner” option for USD 35 per person was disappointing. We were promised a barbecue, but instead received a 9-course Indian dinner with cheap wine, which felt misleading. Safari Experiences The community forest safari is something I truly recommend. Visibility is much better due to the lower grass, and the fauna feels more diverse. We first did the national park safari early in the morning, but due to heavy fog it was very difficult to see anything. We only spotted a few common animals and a distant rhino, despite paying USD 125 per person. It felt like they may schedule it this early so they can fit two half-day safaris into one day, but I can’t say for sure. The community forest safari actually offered much better value for money. Unfortunately, after the safari they suddenly claimed the price was 35,000 even though the price list in the room clearly stated 22,500. They argued that the lower price only applies to Indian nationals, but this was not stated anywhere, and the price list was in English. This behaviour felt unethical. Concerns About Transparency They also seem to refresh the date on the “animals spotted today” board without actually updating the sightings. The people listed as having spotted the animals were not even on the guest list. When speaking to one of the guides, she confirmed that tiger sightings happen maybe twice a month, considering the park has only about 110 tigers.

An unforgettable luxury experience in the heart of Chitwan! Barahi Jungle Lodge was truly an incredible experience from start to finish. The lodge itself is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning pool area, elegant rooms, and a peaceful setting right by the river. The service was outstanding – the staff were always one step ahead, reading every wish from our lips. From the warm welcome to the heartfelt farewell, everything was perfectly taken care of. The General Manager was present and personally ensured that everything ran smoothly, which made the stay even more special. We joined several excursions, and I can especially recommend the morning boat safari – it’s a magical experience with breathtaking scenery, followed by a fantastic breakfast served right by the river. The food throughout our stay was exceptional, and every meal felt like a fine dining experience. Barahi Jungle Lodge is, without a doubt, the number one place to stay in Chitwan. Luxury, nature, and heartfelt hospitality combined – simply perfect!

Absolutely stunning property set on the right side of the park in beautiful surroundings. Tastefully decorated and the resort has all you need. The staff were excellent and would do anything for you. The food was amazing so would highly recommend going here and avoiding the tourist trap that is Sauraha. It is more expensive to stay here but totally worth it.

Wow what an incredible location. We were instantly welcomed by the staff in a way like I’ve never experience at any other hotel I’ve stayed at. The rooms are lovely and clean and serviced several times during the days. I don’t want to ruin the little surprises for other guests, but you’re well looked after here. Breakfast was amazing and the fact we saw crocodiles, elephants, deer and rhino on the opposite bank of the river makes Jungle Lodge one of the most special places I’ve experienced. Overall though it’s the staff that give this place the edge.

Unique in every way - decor, hospitality, food, customer attention to detail (not just service) The hospitality at this place is beyond imagination, they really take care of all minute details (even called us to check whether we had our breakfast!)

“Best Hotel for a luxurious jungle stay”

Best experience ever! This is by far the best stop we’ve had so far in Nepal. Not only the jungle is breathtaking but the barahi jungle lodge takes such good care of you. Every single member of the staff is the kindest and sweetest person! All guides are super knowledgeable about the wildlife but even Nepali culture and truly keen to share their knowledge with you. Shout out to our guide Sagar who has made every single safari a once in a lifetime experience. Morning trips (boat tour and jeep) were the best, but they’re all totally worth it. If you have some extra time, make use of the spa! Prakash Chand, the hotel manager has made sure to tailor the perfect package for us and the duration of our stay. It was the perfect mix between adventure and relaxing! In between the safaris, you get some time to lay back and enjoy the great food - Tej Thanait makes sure of it! As another bonus: the hotel is environmentally conscious and takes care of its community. Totally can recommend and would urge you to book this amazing experience!!

“Peaceful lodge on the banks of the river”

We had a truly wonderful time Barahi jungle lodge. It was hugely relaxing and peaceful, with our beautiful room looking over the river. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was lovely too. Food was really delicious every meal. Loved all of it - very fresh and varied. We did two full days of drives and saw extensive wildlife, with a fleeting glimpse of a tiger in the distance. However the large number of rhino, deer, monkeys, some sloth bears, bison and birds mean that it’s a really enchanting experience in beautiful surroundings. Huge thanks to every member of the team for making it such a wonderful experience. There was extreme kindness and generosity shown.

“Most welcoming and great service”

Barahi jungle lodge is very spacious and tucked away in the jungle from the hustle and bustle of the city. Perfect place to get a good nights sleep. The staffs were very welcoming and accommodating, service was top tier of all the hotels I’ve been around the world. We did the half day jungle safari with breakfast in the jungle. It was such a fun experience, we saw some rhinoceros and different species of monkeys and birds. We really enjoyed the cultural programs held during the evenings. It was very interactive, you could join the performance in the end. We booked spas, had one of the best massages. Highly recommend aromatherapy massage for relaxation. The hotel is fully eco friendly, most of the things they use are either recyclable or biodegradable. We realised there was a basketball court and a badminton court on the last day. Make sure to use it, ask the staffs at the reception for the badminton racket. The staffs are so friendly and take such good care of their guests. Special thank you for Samjhana(hope I spelled it right) and Tej for helping us around during our stay.

We had the pleasure to spend two nights at the Barahi jungle lodge on the banks of East Rapti River in Nepal. Already at Bharatpur airport we were welcomed by the lodge‘s pick-up service in person of most amiable Rajesh, who should turn out to be our naturalist guide for the whole stay. The Head-manager himself gave us a warm welcome and introduction into the lodge. We were impressed by the careful sustainability efforts in combination with a five star accomodation with all modern facilities close to the jungle. The staff was most caring, polite and attentive in all functions. The highlights of course were the Jeep Safari, Jungle walk and boat safari in the early morning in the park. Across the shallow Rapti river pick-up point is reached with a boat directly from the lodge. Safar jeeps wating for half or full-day trips. Driver and our guide Rajesh did a terrific job in showing vegetation and all wildlife Chitwan had to offer on that day including a stylish jungle tea/coffee with pastry. Deer, boars, bears, rhinos, monkeys, elefants are just the bigger animals, not speaking of peacocks and many other exotic birds. Safety was always key and we felt always secure and in best hands, either on the car or by foot during jungle walk. Both activities give a very good impression of the park‘s environment. Arriving from the trip with dust and sweat Barahi staff was waiting with refreshment towels and fresh water. A boat trip in the early morning on the calm Rapti river gave wonderful sight on birdlife and bigger animals crossing or bathing in the river. Dinner followed after a presentation of regional cultural dance with excellent cuisine listening to the sounds of the jungle by the pool. Coffee, tea, water was complementary all time with high-speed WiFi. Our bungalow met all expectations with enormous comfort. Wow, this was Nepali hospitality at its best.
