From the moment she picked us up from the ferry Fay made our holiday truly wonderful. The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated and had the most amazing view over the bay. Fay’s breakfasts were outstanding and were delivered fresh to our room each morning to enjoy on our balcony. She took us to the beach each day and picked us up faithfully. She could not have worked harder or been more welcoming. Vathy itself it’s a charming traditional port with everything you could need to have a brilliant Greek island holiday. Bravo Fay!

Our stay was just amazing and the best we had! The owner Fay is so lovely! She picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the beach and back to the ferry. Everything in the room is made with love. The appartement is georgios with it's own terrace and an amazing view. The aminities Fay is providing are amazing.. as a welcome you get a real nice bottle of white wine and Chips in the room. The toileteries are top...there is even Mizella Water!! The breakfast is outstanding...omlettes, pastries, waffels, ham, cheese, greek joghurt, fruits...... The building is a beautiful stone house with a great pool and it is a short and easy 5 min walk form the towncentre. I cannot rave enough about Fay and her lovely place!

Fay was amazing, great breakfast and lifts to port and beaches above expectations. Wonderful views and located within walking distance of beaches and Katameri where we enjoyed a excellent friendly greek taverna. House was perfect, obviously built and fitted out with alot of thought and love

“Villa Lydia, a home from home in Vathy, Meganisi.”

Meganisi is a beautiful island. This was our 3rd trip and previously we have stayed in villas but these have become so expensive, we thought we would try Villa Lydia...we weren't disappointed! Fay is an amazingly attentive host and her breakfasts...wow! So much amazing food. For most of our stay we had the full villa almost to ourselves (apart from Fay, who also lives in 1 part of the villa) We stayed in the room on the lower floor and we walked out onto our patio with chairs, tables and swing seat...and amazing views of the port of Vathi. We loved watching the beautiful yachts coming in at night and then walking down to see them when having a meal out at one of the many restaurants in Vathy. It was extremely hot when we were there in July, and the pool was a blessing and we had it and the sunbeds to ourselves. Our room had everything we needed, is beautifully appointed and the bed very comfortable. The ac was also very much appreciated at night time. We would recommend a car for Meganisi to get around to some beautiful beaches (highly recommend Fanari beach and the owner and server of Blue beach bar are wonderful and the food excellent and their sunbeds very comfortable, and they were the original bar there before the others came) As for restaurants, you are spoilt but we really love Rose Garden...ask for their fish special...amazing. Such hard working owners, who also run the supermarket next door. All in all, a wonderful stay with an amazing host, in a fantastic location. Can't recommend enough. Thank you Fay. Sam and Jez xx

Wonderful position and very well appointed

We loved every thing about Villa Lydia. The location is perfect for a trip away to relax. It’s close enough to Vathy that you can walk for an evening out but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Faye took very good care of us with wonderful breakfasts and kept the apartment spotless. The view from the balcony is amazing!! And finally, the massive comfy bed was perfect. It really is big!

Spacious room with excellent view to the port. The owner was very polite and willing to help and provide everything we needed. Breakfast is served in the room and is excellent. Location is very convinient since it is only five minutes walk to the port.

What an amazing view from our own private balcony over the harbour - perfect for delicious breakfast and pre dinner drinks. Spotless and clean throughout. Our host, Fotini, was so friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to eat and beaches to visit. And the breakfasts each day - wow! Fotini even sourced gluten free food for my wife. We stayed in a room called Fay, which was on the ground floor. There is a lovely small swimming pool, which we used only once as we prefer swimming in the sea.

The property commands a spectacular view of Vathi bay. It is beautifully kept. Fay is an exceptionally attentive host. We had the most scrumptious breakfasts brought to our room every morning.

“Little jewel overlooking Vathy”

Villa Lydia was the highlight of our holidays. It is a lovely room overlooking the port of Vathy (5min walking up the hill) and every detail is well thought-through (quiet fridge, quiet AC, comfy bed, towels for the beach, nice shower, cute decoration, gorgeous balcony with magnificent view).  The owner Fay is exceptional, one can really see that she loves her job. She made us great breakfast every day, provided us with a lot of tips for restaurants, told us a bit about the island and made us feel like at home.  We can only recommend this place and would love to come back soon!

We loved our stay at Villa Lydia. The room was very clean with a beautiful view of the sea and mountains. Mrs Fotini prepared us a delicious breakfast in the morning.

Our wonderful host Fay was absolutely amazing. So kind and thoughtful. She collected us from the ferry in her little green car and could not do enough for us during our stay but also with a good balance of privacy. The studio apartment exceeded our expectations. Fantastic views, perfectly designed and everything thought of, toiletries environmentally friendly, welcome wine and the bed linen and towels were of beautiful quality. Our host offered cleaning every day, if required. Great location and a 5-minute stroll to the pretty harbour, full of great restaurants and little shops. Our host asked every day what we would like for our breakfast and it was exceptional! The breakfast was brought to the room every morning at the requested time. There were extras, like freshly made pastries, jams and juice made from the fruit in her garden. Nothing was too much trouble! A wonderful experience and we will DEFINATELY be returning. We did not want to leave!
