Mefjord Brygge is surrounded by mountains in the picturesque fishing village of Mefjordvær on Senja Island. Everything was absolutely amazing. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. The breakfast was great, and the hotel has its own private parking. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view of the mountains and the fjord from the window. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; they even arranged a late night check-in for us and left the keys, which we highly appreciated.

Mefjord Brygge is ideally located to explore the delights of Senja. This was my first visit to Senja and the accommodation was very close to many of the "must see" locations. I had an apartment (2) which was clean and best described as utilitarian. Basic kitchenware, but a full oven/hob, microwave and fridge. No freezer which could be a problem if you need ice packs for cool bags etc. This place is remote but there are mini supermarket ~6 minutes away by car. If you want wine etc, Finnsnes is the closest town with a big supermarket and vinmonopolet. That's about 1 hrs 30 mins drive away. Everything worked, staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant has a limited menu but all was excellently cooked. Great range of drinks. Wifi in the apartment was around 10mbs.

The room and equipment badly need some renovation. The bed was not comfortable. The kitchen stove top is an antique which needs to be replaced. The place is tiny tiny.

The staff listened to our needs and interests and Nillo took us on an excellent tour of Senja timed for when the weather cleared. He shared many insights and it was the highlight of our 1 week holiday to Tromso and Senja. The staff recommended where to walk from the door to see the Northern lights and we saw them on the 2 evenings that it wasn't snowing. The 4 bed apartment / cabin was extremely comfortable, great for self catering and relaxing. We enjoyed one dinner in the restaurant and loved the combination of flavours in the fish dishes.

“A very memorable trip”
We stayed two days over there, one night in a cabin and another night in a hotel room. Both of them were good and clean. The cabin has a larger room size, more comfortable. The bathroom has a heated floor. The hotel room has heated floor for the bathroom as well. We also watch Aurora right outside the hotel. What a beautiful night.

“Nice place to visit with stun view”
The view from the house is stunning and perfect for a relaxing stay. The area is peaceful and away from the city. The house has two floors and two bathrooms, which makes it great for a group or several people traveling together.”

The location definitely is great. We saw our first auroras boréales here. The sight of the city, from the begging of the trail, at the end of the road, is a must-see. The café erea is very cosy and well decorated. The room is rather small and basic but confortable enough.
