Location in a brewery, including restaurant. Very nice.

“The Brewery”

Very interesting and charming hotel — a great experience sleeping in a brewery. The rooms were clean and stylish ,the staff was friendly and professional, and the garden was a lovely place to enjoy their beer. The restaurant also served excellent food.

Great location - 10 min walk to Groote Markt and a cathedral. Very comfortable beds, warm bathroom, AC that works. Very helpful staff, from cleaning ladies, breakfast staff and a reception. Breakfast is really good for a big bloke like myself, but my more demanding partner, who is vegetarian, found plenty of dishes.

All was good. The room was fantastic, and staying in a brewery has its benefits. Not least the brasserie, which was a great place for a drink.

Small enough to not be impersonal. We enjoyed the brewery vibe. Brasserie was good.

We loved the fact that the hotel is part of a brewery - it's Belgium after all. It's very close to the centre of Mechelen but very conveniently located for people who come by car - you would not need to drive through Mechelen's narrow streets. The room was huge and warm. The decor was fantastic.

Great accommodation.requested ground floor and it was granted.parking was secure.bought some beers at the shop.booked a table in the restaurant for tea. Whilst we had a cheese sharing board in the pub.fantastic servicefrom all staff.

Quirky. Good sized comfortable rooms and although quite busy during our stay it was very quiet. Breakfast fine, all you could want.

Quiet area, I dont know much about Mechelen but it felt like it was a quiet area just outside the town centre. Im happy to have stayed at The Ancker Brewery and to have visited the Merch-shop.

“A hotel in a brewery - what's not to like?”

The novelty of staying in a working brewery is great. Since our last visit the rooms have been upgraded and the shop re-sited. The restaurant serves Michelin recommended dishes and the food was excellent as always. The all you can eat breakfast is a winner, choose from cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurts. rolls, bread and jam or freshly made bacon and scrambled egg with tea, coffee or fruit juice (07:00-09:30 or 08:00-10:30 weekends).
