“Excellently located period B&B”

Excellent location, Koen is an excellent host. I was attending a conference and he facilitated a very early breakfast. The B&B is spotless and the bed was super comfy. Highly recommend this B&B.

From the moment we arrived, Koen made us feel completely at home: friendly, attentive, and full of great tips for restaurants and things to do in the city The room was spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, and very comfortable Breakfast was the highlight of the stay: fresh, varied, and clearly made with care. Not the usual hotel buffet experience at all. And Koen accommodated all the requests about timing and preferences The location is ideal: the historic centre is just a short walk away, with plenty of attractions within easy reach Highly recommend: great value, great host, great breakfast. Good size rooms with modern bathrooms in a renovated old house with a quiet back garden. Superb breakfast. Excellent host with great tips for exploring Mechelen. Strong wifi. Well located for Grote Markt and other local sights.

It is important to have a knowledgeable and articulate host, particularly where time can be in short supply when visiting a city for the first time-the owner (Koen) helped make the holiday. Plenty of choice at breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.

The hotel is cosy and family-run. I loved the ambient and tasty breakfasts. The room was big enough, with a big bed and a small desk, which was useful for working and having tea. There was everything I needed. The location worked fine for me. It's quiet in the neighborhood. It took me around 10 minutes to the city centre and 25 minutes on foot to the main train station. The bus stop is also a minute away.

Very friendly and personal welcome by the B&B hosts Els and Koen, spacy room with a view to a well-kept garden that was open for guests to stay in, many small details in room, shower, bathroom that showed the care the hosts must have put in preparing the room, and - extra-special - breakfast services with freshly-squeezed orange juice and omlette prepared by Koen, the host, with care and friendlyness. I very happily look forward to any next opportunity to return to this place, which, on top of all else is conveniently located less than five minutes footwalk from the historic city center.

Good location near historic centre, quiet, friendly hosts, I was able to check in earlier, nearby car parking, excellent breakfast. Very clean and attention to detail. Recommended!

From arrival to departure, the hosts created a positive experience for us. They provided a safe, secure place for our bicycles. The room and bathroom were spacious and well designed. The property included many memorable design features, from wall art to the tasteful breakfast room. Breakfast included homemade items (granola, bread) and eggs served in a unique manner. Location is great for a walk to the centre.
